you used to write so fast, what happened 🥲 (no hate btw I know good writing takes time but I noticed such a big diff in your timing now vs before)

to be fair i was honestly never a fast writer; i just used to have hours and hours and hours of uninterrupted free time to completely devote to writing which probably made me seem faster than I actually was, and I simply don’t have that anymore. life happened. I’m so incredibly busy right now with my job and my social life and family things and personal stuff, and I honestly can’t remember the last time I had more than like, 3 uninterrupted hours to sit down and write in one sitting. and at least for me, there’s really not a ton I can get done in 3 hours. I’m the maid of honor in my best friend’s wedding in 3 months and that’s been taking up a ton of my free time (planning a bachelorette trip and bridal shower at the same time is NOT for the weak folks) (I’m also a bridesmaid in another friend’s wedding next year so it’s like double the wedding stuff lol), I’ve been traveling (with more travel coming up end of this month and in mid-July too (blame my Sagittarius rising sorry!)), I’ve had some mental health lows that have not made writing feel super easy or appealing, I have some family health stuff going on that’s needed a lot of my attention, etc. so a fic that used to take me less than a week to write now takes closer to a month simply because I can’t spend every free second I have for 7 straight days working on it. my writing time is much more spaced out now/those uninterrupted moments are few and far between in comparison to how my life looked, say, this time last year, or even 5-6 months ago. inspiration is also a very fickle thing for me, and I don’t want to just “phone it in” and force myself to write something I’m not 100% happy with or enjoying writing. (that’s not to say I don’t still enjoy writing for spencer/writing the greenaway!reader series because I very much do, I promise — but that enjoyment/inspiration comes in waves and is not as consistent as it once was. sometimes I’m just not in the mood). so yes, my fics take longer now, and im publishing with far less frequency than I once was. I do apologize for that, because I know it sucks to wait weeks between updates for a series like greenaway!reader. I’m an avid fic reader too, so I get it!! I really do!! but I’m human and I’m doing my best and right now, a slower pace is the best thing I can give you guys at this particular moment.

HAHA so sorry for the alarm but yes the blonde is just a facade (and one that is getting increasingly hard to keep up, considering the deeply unhealthy state of my hair rn, so it probably won’t last much longer). I am a brown hair, big brown eyed girly in reality!
