Apollo
Every touch ignites my skin and you leave me scorned. My skin glows pink as your flame licks my edges. Maybe it’s foolish; but the pain you bring is intertwined too much with the pleasure. You set fire to the sky and I find myself running to keep up with you. But each night you paint me the most spectacular views. You steal my breath over and over and just like that... you’re gone. A silence falls over my world; the darkness settles in. You are the sun, Apollo. As much as your presence breathes a new life into me, your absence leaves me cold.
I never used to be afraid of the dark.
