offense was very much taken. considering...well, that the problems the x-men had to deal with were in fact with the avengers, problems which had spawned too many of her students' deaths. so you'd have to forgive her twist in expression and sourness that plagues her voice. whether natasha's being sincere or not makes no difference to the former hellfire queen. avengers... well, to her, they held a special place in the world. it was called hell.
