I'm fighting off a sinus infection today, but that's not stopping me from attempting to organize. 😉 I've tried for years to convince myself I'm not a perfectionist, but yesterday, as I hopped on a treadmill for the first time in months, I 'fessed up to my friend Tina. I don't keep a perfect house, but I try. I'm not perfectly organized, but I try. There are quite a few imperfect corners, but I made a trip to @thecontainerstore last week and bought supplies to deal with every "chaos corner" in our house. My kids have been on spring break this week, and we've been squeezing in some quality family time, which has just been awesome. Sure, our family has some squabbles--whose doesn't? But I honestly couldn't be any more grateful for life right now. The weather is beautiful, the conversations are meaningful, the laughter is authentic. And the food--sponsored by Pinterest 😉. I'm back. Thanks for letting me be quiet over here, friends. I spent the past week doing some really hard core heart work, and it was SO good. I'm still processing everything I learned, so here's a bullet point summary of takeaways. ▫️We are human beings, not human doings. Sometimes it's good to stop doing and start being what we were created to be. ▫️We were created for connection. Install a land line and look up from the screen. ▫️Tell your kids: "I'm so glad I get to spend time with you. I love you just the way you are. I'm so proud of you." Mean it. ▫️Tell yourself the same things. Mean it. ▫️You'll never regret investing in a better version of yourself. While I was away this week, working on things for @thedaydesigner 2017 (!), my team was furiously working to put the final details on our 2016 midyear launch!
