Mathilde Roussel, Peau #1, 2013, cut rubber, graphite, thread, metal nails, 350 x 250 x 10 cm, exhibited at Galerie du Haut Pavé, Paris. Source
I’ve been a fan of Mathilde Roussel’s clean-cut sculpture work ever since I started researching for ArtMastered. She frequently uses graphite, either on paper or rubber, to create huge hanging pieces that resemble an armour-like skin. And I love how Peau #1 looks contrasted against the white walls of the Galerie du Haut Pavé in Paris.
