Si tratta di una nozione ampiamente accettata tra i pittori che non importa ciò che si dipinge, finchÊ è ben dipinta. Questa è l'essenza di accademismo. Non esiste una cosa come un buon quadro per nulla. Noi affermiamo che il soggetto è fondamentale e solo argomento è valido che è tragico e senza tempo. à per questo che noi professiamo una parentela spirituale con l'arte primitiva e arcaica.
Sintrax coffee maker, 1930/31. Schott, Germany. Â Via Collection Soehlke
Contrary to an often used description, the first device was not developed by the Bauhaus teacher Gerhard Marcks, but had been an in-house design by an unknown employee of Jena glassworks. It was first presented at the Leipziger Messe in 1926. The name Sintrax - a word creation from the terms of sintering and extracting - was registered as a trademark the same year.

Between 1910 and 1915, Russian Futurist artists created a new form of art called zaum (âbeyond the mindâ) that fused words, visuals, and sound. Their hand-lithographed books emphasized âsound as suchâ and rejected logical meaning.Â
Explore four of these unique books and hear 10 of the poems read aloud in Russian in a brand-new online interactive that also features Russian transliterations and English translations. The interactive is a companion piece to a new book about sound, image, and word in Russian Futurist book art.
