For those who don’t understand that using AI to generate images is inherently stealing:

The way it works is that it takes every image that exists on the internet and slowly removes pixels that are irrelevant to your prompt. Thats why it uses to much energy and hence water to cool down the computers and servers that use that energy.

Every image is an amalgamation of real photos, artworks, etc from real people, regardless if they gave permission or not. You’re not creating something original. You’re stealing bits from every artist and photographer out there to create your Frankenstein of an image.

It’s like a restaurant serving everyone a bowl of every item in their menu mixed together. If you wanted only chips, then they’ll remove the soup, the sauce, the pasta. But it won’t change the fact that your chips are now seasoned (and soggy) with the soup, sauce and pasta.

And you also can’t say that you “made it” because you asked the chef to take away the other stuff. Thats just stupid.

Pick up a pencil. It’s that easy. No one is judging you, especially on tumblr of all places, for not having a perfect drawing of something.

I hate AI and I always will. I only know these things because uni taught me. I wish it was common knowledge.

like yes actually there is a conversation to be had about how a characters actions are framed and how they thematically fit with the rest of the story and it can in fact reflect the author's beliefs. some authors are even trying to make a point
