hey @staff gifs are blurry again
top image is a png exactly 540px wide. bottom image is the same exact image converted to gif. for some reason the dash shows the png at correct size but not the gif -- gif is shrunk down to 500px and then stretched to 540, which is nuts because there’s a 540px version on the server!

I think what gets me is that 540px images will look scaled in the upload window while 500px images look fine
and vice versa when they actually get to the dash
it has been six weeks since tumblr rolled out the wider posts and made everything blurry.
it only took them a week or two to implement a (partial) fix for PNG and JPG.
fixing the blurry gifs doe not appear to be a high priority for staff.
