I had to take a couple days for this one to let everything sink in and how I wanted to write it out. Here goes nothing. There's a new sports bar open located just east of downtown called Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill. Like all things food, we had to stop by and check out the scene. Is Dōma too expensive? Will there be food there I like? It looks too fancy? Let’s put those hesitations to rest. All of this food (and some dishes not pictured) cost each couple roughly $50 plus tip. If you love desserts and love trying different foods from all over the world, check out Kónkeh Artisan Alfajor Pastries. A question I see a lot is where to buy the ginger dressing many restaurants serve or even the teriyaki, mustard, Yum Yum and other sauces and dressings. Did you know that Kobe Japanese Steakhouse sells theirs in 32 ounce containers? Worth EVERY dollar. I don't know about you, but their ginger dressing and mustard sauce is life. Wichita is full of options to enjoy performing arts. We have such a talented group of people, right here in town, that can entertain. I hope to make it out to more shows this year. But to kick off 2022, I stopped by Roxy's Downtown to enjoy their new show "Five Course Love"..... which to my delight also came with a five-course meal. This year I ate at over 250 restaurants and food trucks. 2021 has been was quite the journey and I wanted to share a glimpse of some of my favorite meals of this year. From the upper left-hand corner and going clockwise. The Kitchen, Mi Lindo Michoacan Mexican Restaurant, Gar Joe's Crawfish, Toot's Drive In, GangNam Korean Grill & Bar, 6S Steakhouse, Chuyitos Birreria, When Pigs Fly!, homecooked lobster, Thao's Bistro, Tacos El Sol, Merle's Place and in the middle, Headz & Tailz. There are so many more to name but I couldn’t find a free photo app that allowed me to include more pictures. What restaurants or meals did you enjoy this year?
