“who said you got to go first?” he raised an eyebrow before taking a sip. “there, now you can have it,” he said handing it to her.
“What happened to ladies first? Now I have to drink your backwash,” She complained, but took the bottle and chugged a generous amount.
“i bet,” he said, moving to the trunk underneath his bed and pulling it out. “i’m sure he’ll appreciate that.”
Marlene reached her hand out toward Sirius, wiggling her fingers, “Gimme.”
“now that’s a skill to be proud of.”
“I’m full of surprises,” She laughed, headed straight to his room without hesitation, “But I’ll let you get it out for us. I can bounce on Remus’s bed instead.”
“but you don’t even know where it is,” he said, walking through the frame.
“I’m a bloodhound. I’ll sniff it out.”
“alcohol first. a woman after my own heart.”
“Don’t walk so slow. I’ll get it all before you get any,” She teased, pausing to give the portrait her password.
“i could play hard to get just for you.”
“Oh, wouldn’t you?” She grinned, “It would be most entertaining. Alcohol first, though.”
“Oh Merlin please do not remind me of that,” Kelian made a face. “Have seen it once. They had some as mascots at the Quidditch World Cup….”
“You know that would be totally bad ass if you could.”
sirius took her hand, not thinking twice of it. he smiled and winked, “most girls love that about me.”
“How unfortunate,” She mused, “I prefer a challenge.”

“Means you are also going to share the Snitch with us next time, yes? Of course only if your team is even able to see it flying past them and right into our arms.”
“If you do not believe I am good enough, then do not worry,” Marlene shrugged.
“i’ll let you have more than half of what i have, if that makes up for it.”
Marlene gave a sweet smile as she stood up from her chair, holding her hand out to pull him up. “You’re so easy,” She said happily.
“I could dye my hair black and call myself Sirius while I’m at, it if you’d prefer.” Remus laughed. “Now will you please, please lend me your notes from astronomy. You’re my last hope.”
“The world does not need another Sirius Black. It can hardly handle one. I’m just bringing out your edgy side. It’s in there somewhere,” She teased, reaching out to poke him, “Fine, fine. No making fun of my doodles. I write what is on the board, but when the lectures happen... I blank out.”
“maybe so.”
“Sirius Black,” She scolded,” That is not how friends behave.”
“look at you, being rebellious. but i actually do have some firewhiskey left in the dorms.”
“Holding out on me?”
“we will. because it’s the truth.”
“Fine, fine,” She smiled, “So, want to sneak off to Hogsmeade for that alcohol?”
“or i was telling the truth.”
“Sure, sure. We can go with that option...”
“I don’t think theres anything wrong with my cloths.” Remus said, more genuinely before resuming his equally sarcastic tone. “And here I thought we were friends, Marlene.”
“That’s why I’m trying to help you,” She laughed, “I think you could use a few leather jackets and tighter jeans.”
“i wasn’t thinking of that.” he leaned forward, looking her in the eye. “right then,” he added, smiling.
“All that proves is that you’re a good liar.”
