People need to get a lot more comfortable critiquing and criticizing media they love I'm begging. Analysis can come from a place of admiration, and breaking down the faults or weak points of a piece of media doesn't have to mean you hate it.

Literary analysis and thinking about media you consume with a critical eye is healthy even and we should be actively doing it on the regular, please stop assuming that someone breaking down the weaker points of a story or narrative means that they're personally attacking the creator or their work

I’ve not seen this mentioned on tumblr yet so for my Mumbai people in light of the recent passing of Bill 79 there is a protest organised in Azad Maidan tomorrow.

The passing of this bill poses a very scary future not just for the trans community but for the entire queer community and also the other marginalised groups in our country. But it’s not an Act yet so there’s still things that can be done so it is very important that even if you aren’t part of the groups affected you show up as an ally for the community.

I'm a few days late on this, but it's still something important worth sharing. I might not have a very big blog but I hope even one small voice reaches the ears of my trans siblings in India who are the ones being impacted by this awful legislation being pushed to know that my heart goes out to you all and I wish for nothing short of your safety and well-being.

Horrible things are happening across the globe sparked by what's being permitted to happen in America- things in the US becoming the blueprint for backwards thinking and hatred in so many seats of power elsewhere. If you care at all for any of your queer friends and family, and those in marginalized spaces who are the most affected by these policies being put into place, please make sure your voice is heard and do not support companies, people, or practices that continue to hurt and harm so many vulnerable individuals. The more people can spread awareness about what's happening in India and show their refusal to accept these awful and archaic policies, the more the governments can see that this is not something our communities will take lying down.

Precedents are being set that will be felt on a global scale, and how we respond in kind is something that is going to impact all of us down the line. Our greatest tool at our disposal is our voices to let our trans friends in India and everywhere else in the world know that we hear them and we support them in their fight in finding justice for what's being done to them. Inaction in the face of injustice only benefits those who rely on our silence and our indifference while they strip vulnerable populations of their rights.

The world is a scary place right now, and to all my fellow trans siblings, I wish you all the strength and love and hope that we get through it all together.

Springtime Sweethearts has been released!

Indulge in a fanzine focused on Alfred and Ivan while supporting Southern Fried Queer Pride - every dollar from its 5 usd price will be donated to the organization!

Springtime Sweethearts puts the focus on domestic life and soft situations - and after one month of fundraising, it will be completely free to access starting on October 29th.

It's been a while!! This past year has certainly been a wild one, but formatting for Springtime Sweethearts has finally wrapped up and our release date is set for next Monday, September 29th - for now, here's a preview of the cover done by @wickedwanchii and myself, @corvussei

As a reminder, it will start out as a not-for-profit 5USD zine with all proceeds going to Southern Fried Queer Pride, and eventually become free to access after its first month!
