Undead CorĂ zon Theory
(Or more apptly Something is Wrong with CorĂ zon)
Here I have complied my variety of reasons as to why I think CorĂ zon could be an undead of some variety and is just straight up hiding it from the rest of the party...
1.) Suzette: During Dob's reunion with Suzette, she says some worrying things about CorĂ zon:
"Just, be wary of the pirate. Just between you and me I think he's taken a bit more than a few knocks and bruises, if you catch my meaning." and finishing up the conversation with "I think he's... yeah..."
Implying that Suzette thinks CorĂ zon is... something? And Suzette is a biologist of some description, so if there is something wrong with CorĂ zon she would pick up on it...
2.) CorĂ zon Cursed Status: CorĂ zon is very vague with why the curse came about and his role in it. In Spot of Bother, he says that he isn't cursed (not explaining how he avoided this fate when the rest of his crew couldn't). Though he will occasionally make a light refrence or two to the possibility. Such as jokingly saying "Yeah we're all cursed mate, get on with it," in Mind Your Manors.
So CorĂ zon is obviously hiding something from the rest of the Oxventurers about his relationship to the curse. What that is, we can't be exactly sure.
Misc. Theory Fodder: (aka circumstantial evidence that could relate to Undead CorĂ zon)
- CorĂ zon seems to know more about Egbert's Paladin abilities then he does, specifically in Elf Hazard in which he is basically begging Egbert to use Divine Smite on Banshee (an undead, which is weak to radiant damage)
- Additionally, Egbert is always the one CorĂ zon is pushing into dangerous situations (or talking about eating his flesh). Almost like he sees Egbert as a bit of a threat (considering he's a paladin, one of the parties main suppliers of radiant damage along with the possibility of him having the spell detect evil and good, a spell that can detect undead within 30ft, it would make sense CorĂ zon would think that way if he way hiding the fact he is not quite alive).
- CorĂ zon getting into the Necropolis on Sea Manor through the weird cat-flap in a way that is described to be upsetting, ("To be honest, all of you except for Prudence feel a bit sick. You didn't really think that this dashing young pirate could do anything quite so horrifying. You didn't think any human do anything quite so horrifying and still live..." - Johnny, Mind Your Manors)
- We are yet to see (to my knowledge) CorĂ zon take any life threatening damage (unlike the rest of the group who have been burned, disembowelled, poisoned, have their arm almost taken off, etc.)
- CorĂ zon taking 3 necrotic damage for bee puns, which he is not allowed to uncanny dodge (Bone 2 Pick)
-Also CorĂ zon seems to be constantly surrounded by undead (his old crew and his ghost pirate grandfather plus the skeleton army) and is generally a bit too chill about it
Anyway I think it would be a fun reveal!
Requested by @carlschunemann on Instagram Zillah and Barnaby returning after "The Death of Cornelius Bagshot" to find Edvard working on a large bell.
Sometimes life hands you bells, but never when you need them.
Another doodle dump, this time for "The Death of Cornelius Bagshot."
Surely absolutely nothing could go wrong.
I love that they thought mmm bomb, and ran with it.
Im not in a super drawy mood, but here's a doodle dump for the latest episode. Im so glad Blades in the Dark is back, I finally get my seratonin.
Also a snall Emiline and Squiffy as well.
She didn’t think her plan through
I made this lil guy! This is what Corazon says to Prudence just before he burns down a building for her in Elf Hazard, and something about it was painfully romantic even though it was about arson and Andy had those godawful mutton chops.
My cross stitch program’s color fidelity is laughable and I haven’t checked it against actual floss, so I don’t really have suggested colors apart from DMC 310 and 725. Follow your bliss.
Not bad for an afternoon’s work I think! I have an idea for a Blades in the Dark one but it’s going to be much more involved; on the bright side, unlike this one I won’t have to freehand the whole thing.
Get ready Edvard, it’s almost crime time again.

Hey look we’re no longer out of fanfic again! Funny how that happens
Listening to music while attempting to make more fanfic (we’ll see how it goes) and I cannot get over how well “Lament of Orpheus” could work for a Blades in the Dark villain.Â
Maybe someone between a Slide and a Whisper, maybe a Slide with that Ghost Voice ability. It’s got the sea imagery, the ghostly subject matter, it’s mournful but could also feel dangerous in the right context.Â
I know it doesn’t fit the tone of Oxventure but like...now I can’t shake the idea of an evil Orpheus homage singing it as part of some malicious bardic ritual.Â
I don’t know what would be funnier– Barnaby and Edvard going on a job together and Edvard having to (reluctantly) admit Barnaby isn’t hopeless
OR
Edvard and Barnaby never going on a job together and Edvard just watching as everyone else starts to realize he’s not hopeless before deciding that clearly they are all going insane.

Oxventure Heist Society: Expectations vs Reality.
Who needs a social stealth masquerade ball when you can harass a heart broken 19 year old while dressed as a sexy nurse?
I love this adventure with all my heart. It was wild and lovely. And Egbert is here!
Needed to shake off the dust, so I tinkered around a bit with some ghosts for Barnaby. I do think about that fox spirit that was hitting on him from time to time.
Signal boosting Johnny’s tweet from this morning to as many Oxventure fans as possible!
