Next we headed to the idilic Vail, Colorado. Set in the famous Rocky Mountains, Vail is usually known for being an exclusive Ski resort in Winter months, however, in the summer season it is still a popular destination for thrill seekers and never more so than when the Mountain Games come around. Sponsored by GoPro, this event brings 10's of 1000's to the area to watch and participate in the sports displayed here. The crown jewel is the IFSC world cup which took center stage.
Back in May I had the pleasure of heading out west for the North American leg of the IFSC world cup series. First we headed to the amazing Hamilton, Toronto. Luigi and the boys here did an awesome job pulling this off in one of the most unique venues on tour. The gym is a huge lock up set for mainly lead climbers. The boulders are on a Mezzanine level and so they needed to bring in a huge seating structure for the vocal crowd of Canada!
The third stop of the IFSC boulder circuit took me to Grindelwald, Switzerland. With the famous Eiger as the backdrop, 160 climbers from all over globe gathered for the exciting spectacle.

The beginning of May saw most probably the hardest overseas job I have ever had. Baku, Azerbaijan, and the second stop on the IFSC World Cup tour. Taking place in the infamous Flag Square, and the weather living up to the city's namesake 'city of the winds' we had a heatwave and what can only be described as gales. This wasn't the problem. The problem mainly came from a group of unorganised event holders and a point blank refusal to cooperate. Couple this with local television turning up and plonking there cameras in front of ours, some clever so and so unplugging power intermittently and a language barrier I haven't faced before..
Its been a while since I last posted on here, Working over in China at the IFSC World Cup definitely caused a big speed hump in posts. I'll get this up to date over the next few days.. enjoy these pics in the mean time

Last week I shot a feature for a new client. BBC Late Kick Off is a late night, regional news series that summeries and highlights regional Football fixures and clubs. I shot a piece with league 1 Wolvhampton, and how their newest manger, Kenny Jackett, had turned the side around. The show airred at 23:25 31/3/14 on BBC1
I've just got back from Stockholm and the Tierra Boulder Battle. It was a long slog of Graphics, Features and a bit a compositing, all topped off with broadcasting the event. Watch the event on this link..
