The Kiss
blackorder1st:
Proxima’s spear was almost an extension of herself, so she heard its whistle long before it was close enough and easily side-stepped its trajectory. But where the spear failed to meet flesh and bone, it instead met with tarmac, concrete, and all the inner workings beneath the city. Its tip would soon puncture both gas and water mains, resulting in an exploding ball of fire and water that split the street apart and sent both women careening in opposite directions. Through a pair of cars, Proxima skidded until she came to rest against a crumpled dumpster. Large chunks of road followed and pinned her between metal and concrete. More annoying than painful, and it pissed her off more.
There went trying not to destroy the city! Managing to have enough focus in the spilt seconds it took, Wanda worked to block the bricks and bits of the road from hitting her, not to mention the heat of the flame! The only thing she wasn’t ready for was the blast of the water that, in turn, knocked Proxmia back as well.
Hopefully, it did more damage to her than it did to the witch! She hadn’t been ready and landed somewhat roughly against the road. It took her a few moments to come out of her daze, but as soon as she did, she realized she wasn’t laying there with a blade to her throat. She was simply knocked down, and if she could get up-
Ouch!
Wincing, Wanda quickly placed a hand upon her side and felt it grow wet. She had hit something hard, and she wasn’t too keen on looking down to see what it was.
Tmw you are worried you’ve offended the love of your life when you’ve actually just made her fall in love with you.
I adored this scene in the last Wandavision episode. I’ve always like the idea of Wanda/Vision, even before the movies (because apparently I have a Thing for robots trying to be people), and I’ve always been invested in their relationship.
But this scene, OH THIS SCENE. Putting aside Vision’s now famous line about grief, the way she watches him a bit too long at the end is just perfect. There’s such a genuine desire for connection in that look, such a bald attraction, it’s so endearing. And how Vision shyly smiles like he likes that she’s looking at him but he’s not sure why she’s looking at him, just– AHHHH! So pure.
I love them, and if they are not happy by the end of this show, I can’t.
What is grief if not love persevering?

Despite being this high up, Proxima could tell that her actions were distressing Wanda, especially when she saw the witch throw her hands up once more to summon her magics. The reg light warped itself around Proxima’s weapon and yanked it away from the building. Proxima followed suit, only letting go to aim her trajectory straight at Wanda’s location. “The lamb is growing more teeth, I see,” she muttered under her breath, once she landed not too far away and dusted the concrete powder of her shoulders.
One might have expected the woman they were flung around by the weapon would simply.. let go of the weapon. However, to Wanda? It didn’t hit her until she saw Proxima fall through the air and land just where Wanda once stood, without her weapon.
Brain picking up back into gear, the witch spun the weapon and went to send it flying towards Proxima. May it hit her or not, it would be a good enough distraction to get some more space between them. Fighting so close together didn’t seem like it would work too well in her favour.

Proxima was never usually taken by surprise, but that changed when she was suddenly thrown up into the air. Arms and legs failing, she swung her spear to catch onto anything nearby. She clipped the edge of a building, then dug the tip in more to slow her ascent. Bricks and broken concrete rained down onto the street below, even while she still kept going up. Screams soon followed after her weapon’s intrusion into people’s homes, not that she cared. Gravity would give in eventually. And when it did, she twisted herself in the return trip, spear pointed downwards to rake alongside the building once more. But this time, her attack was intentional, aiming to take out as much of it as possible.
Shit!
While the witch did get rid of Proxima, for a moment, it was far from clean. The other woman decided to cause as much damage as she could coming and going, and with a familiar scene playing in her memories, Wanda couldn’t just stand there and not act.
Summoning her magic back around her, the witch watched as the homes and building broke as the small figure of Proxima started to grow bigger.
This time, Wanda went for her weapon and without warning, pulled it to hang in the middle of the street. If Proxima wanted to keep fighting, she would have to let go of her weapon to do so.
blackorder1st:
Proxima grinned at seeing that the woman hadn’t lost her touch. It would have been disappointing if a simple hunk of metal would have taken her out so easily. She met the flung warped ball of steel head on, her spear slicing through it like a hot knife through butter. Maybe her appetite could be satisfied by this one. She managed to catch one half of the destroyed cycle with the end of her spear and flung that back again. Landing not too far away, she sprinted at Wanda from the other direction, leaning low to drive home her two points of attack.
Even before becoming an Avenger, Wanda was fairly good at having a quick reaction time. Maybe not as quick as the faster twin between the duo, but it was still a fleet to keep up with him as well as she did!
She’ll have to thank him later.
Catching Proxima by her feet, the witch threw her up into the air. She didn’t really care how far up she went, even if she hit the roof of the barrier or not- it was a quick and dirty trick to get the threat out of sight for her to catch her bearings for at least a minute.
That’s the way of the Roma. It’s our lot. But you and I, we Maximoffs, we have each other. That’s all we’ll ever need.

Proxima swore she smelled rain in the air, though there didn’t seem to be a cloud in sight. Nothing seemed to change much in here, to be honest, which meant less planning on her part. No elements to battle with; just silly humans made of all that soft flesh and no real way defend themselves, not even with those cages of concrete and steel. But she didn’t care much for them; she was more interested in the woman walking around in red. A fairy, Corvus had likened Wanda to, before Proxima smacked him up the back of his head for it. Silly man. Proxima saw it fit to interrupt the woman’s walk with a motorcycle flung in her direction - just to get her attention - with Proxima crouched on the handlebars with spear in hand. “You should’ve killed me when you had the chance, little witch.”
@wiggiiewoo
Something was coming. Something horrible, something.. she didn’t know. She honestly didn’t want to know. If she could have it her way, the big bad would never come, and the people trapped here would continue living their lives as normal as can be.
And then she caught the voice, causing the witch to freeze right there and then. It couldn’t be- how did SHE get here? Didn’t they- didn’t she cause enough pain? First, she tried to kill her and Vision, and now-!
Allowing her magic to protect her, Wanda summoned a forcefield and ducked as the force of the motorcycle hit against it. Before the bike could fall, Wanda caught it and wrapped it within her magic and sent it flying right back at the woman before her.
Today’s the day! Happy Wandavision day everyone! I just watched it and I adore the surrealism mixed with great aesthetics! Anyone else watching it today?
