A very inelegant, drawn-out pause, as if the first weren’t enough.

Believe what you want, I know what I am.” She replies, a hand on her hip as the other one dangled to her side. “I assume you’re one of these mutants you’re talking about..” She definitely looked different than what she considered a mutant but hey, earth customs were different.
