Hey guys! I moved to @wiire
I'll be going ahead and setting things up over there as well as following people, moving drafts, and so on.
VERSE - “College years” - in university
The process of getting eleven PhDs is a long one. Not only the schoolwork, but the faked identities, work in the oil fields to fund his education, and frequent college changes. Dell changed colleges and identities multiple times throughout his school life in order to hide from the public eye - earning that many degrees is bound to draw attention.
Even so, he immensely enjoys studying, driven by curiosity and hard work. Dell spends the majority of his time in the library or the workshop if he isn’t at work, but finds himself studying with others somewhat often. While his personality is just about the same as it is within the main verse, he may be a little brighter or have a looser grip on his emotions.
VERSE - “Modern” - present day
Dell Conagher is quite the interesting man. Extensive education, and yet he chooses to live a quieter life on the Conagher family ranch running a repair shop on his own. Within his community, he’s known quite the cordial and polite fellow, and is always willing to help anyone who chooses to come to him for anything from a tire change to repairing the fuse box in their house. The mechanic seems to keep his distance with most people, but even so, is friendly with just about everyone that knows him.
Behind the scenes, however, he’s up to more… illicit activities. Building weapons for choice assassins and hitmen, money laundering, even scamming large companies. With his knowledge from mechanical know-how to hacking, he’s got quite the interesting technical skill set that he uses to really make his living, nothing that anyone would suspect from the kind Conagher.
VERSE: “Default” - main, any time within the comics
At first glance, a soft spoken Texan. At second, a man with a deadly sharp mind, eleven PhDs, and a contract as a mercenary killer. Dell Conagher is an engineer in the employ of RED, previously having been a part of BLU. He’s responsible for the repair of the life extending machines for Redmond and Blutarch Mann (and later the Administrator), continuing on the work of his grandfather Radigan Conagher.
The Engineer’s role within the team is to deploy sentries and provide support through the use of teleporters and dispensers. Being killed is no problem with respawn in place, though while he’s had his fair share of deaths doesn’t mean coming back to life is any less excruciating. He lives to fight, get paid, and continue improving his technology endlessly, spending most of his time within the workshop of whichever base he happens to be stationed in, often in the Badlands of New Mexico.

The redhead could only shrug slightly. “There’s not much to say.” She’s not really exaggerating, it’s just fact. There was nothing particularly eventful aside from her brief stint as a freelancer. Watching the older man work on some project or other, she floated one of his tools over when it was out of his reach.
“My caregiver–” Though that was stretching it slightly, but that what she is in a technical point of view. Echo couldn’t really use the term ‘mother’, not after numerous observations of other mother-child pairs and explanations from the mercs. “–left me when I bested her in telekinetic combat and that was–” Echo paused as she took a moment to make the necessary calculations. “–approximately 6 years ago. Made my first kill some time after.”
Dell didn’t stop his work, continuing to listen all the while, though took a moment to look over the tool he’d plucked out of the air – courtesy of Echo – with interest.
“Everyone’s got some story worth telling.” He thought back to the stories some of the mercenaries on their team that would proudly flaunt even the most basic parts of their stories, feeling a little surprised at her mention that there wasn’t much to say. Everyone in this business always had one thing or another happen to them. “Telekinetic combat, huh.” A silence hung in the air again for a moment, before the Engineer spoke again as if making small talk.
“You don’t sound like you’ve ever had a family. Not all that surprisin’, given the details, but you sure didn’t have your typical childhood growin’ up.”
(From Stickeranon) The little girl happily marched into the workshop, switchblade in hand. She smiled at Dell and then waved at him before peeling a sticker off the blade's handle and offering it to him.
@stickeranon
He’s momentarily spooked at the sight of the child in his workshop, not expecting guests, though his expression slowly shifts to offer her a gentle smile.
“A sticker? For me?” Dell carefully takes it from her, looking around his workshop for a moment before striding over to stick it onto one of his toolboxes. He turns to look back at her with a thumbs up. “Thanks, kiddo. That sticker’ll be good luck for the road.”

It has been 666 days since the last TF2 comic was released, and Miss Pauling has had enough. Quite frankly, so have a lot of other people.
Starring @benjamoose as Saxton Hale’s own Miss Pauling - Mr. Bidwell.
Reblogging this video again in honour of TF2′s latest update today:
Literally the best.
// I promise I'll get back to posting ic content soon I just wanted to say my favorite bit of lore is that the engineer sawed off his own arm for the gunslinger. just like radigan conagher lmao
