JOE KEERY, CIS MALE, HE/HIM || just saw WIL BAUMANN around town. i think they’re 26 years old and have been here for 8 YEARS. HE is a BEST BUY MANAGER here in san diego and seem to be CHARISMATIC and EASYGOING. but i’ve heard they’re also CONCEITED and UNPREDICTABLE, i guess that’s because they’re a GEMINI. they really seem to have SLICKED BACK HAIR, BOXES OF TAKEOUT, and MAXED OUT CREDIT CARDS vibes.
Wilder “Wil” Baumann was born on May 28th, 1995 in New York, New York to Michelle and Obadiah Baumann. He is the youngest child of three. His older brother Wells Baumann (36) and older sister Wynona Baumann (36) are twins.
Growing up he had a fine relationship with his siblings, but because of their age difference they didn’t have much in common. His relationship with his parents has always been great. With him being the baby of the family his parents tended to pay more attention to him and spoil him. His siblings on the other hand can never be good enough for their parents.
In school he never really put much effort into anything and because of that he was a C average student. Wil was popular in school, but not liked by the faculty. They constantly complained to his parents, but they never made any effort to discipline him and just let him be. At least once a month he’d throw some kind of big party at his house, and again, his parents just let him do whatever he wanted.
His parents lack of disciplining and constant babying had a very negative affect on Wil. He grew up with really no sense of responsibility and the thought that he could really do whatever he wanted without consequence. That didn’t mean Wil got into trouble and got into bad things, but it definitely made him a huge brat.
When Wil turned eighteen his parents started to gently encourage him to consider applying to college. Mostly to get them off his back, he began to think of what he might want to do. Eventually he decided to go with video game design, mostly because he loves playing video games, but he had no idea how much work went into a career like that. After his mind was made up he googled best schools for video game design and that was how he ended up coming to San Diego.
Once Wil came to San Diego and began school, he quickly learned how difficult his career choice was and not even a month into school he dropped out. His parents were completely supportive of his decision to do so, and offered to pay his bills until he figured something else out.
Not long after dropping out he secured a job at Best Buy as a Sales Associate. Due to his good customer service skills and an overwhelming amount of positive reviews he was promoted to management very fast. Then within his first year he was given his own store and is still general manager. In Wil’s opinion, there is no better job than working at Best Buy. Within the company he is adored by higher ups, but not so much from the people below him.
Wil comes off as charming and fun, but he can also be a big brat and a bit self-centered. He can be a bit vain and superficial, but he’s always down to have a good time.
TL;DR: Wil is a spoiled rich kid who is here for a good time not a long time.
Some fun facts about the wild child:
His parents still send him a monthly allowance even though he makes good money at Best Buy.
His version of being “broke” are vastly different then the average person. If his bank account gets under $10,000 he panics.
He has a Pomeranian named Teddy Bear, but he just calls him Bear. He was a gift from his parents when he began college.
Uses too much hair gel and acts like he doesn’t. He says his hair just looks like that. Classic “I just got out of bed” situation even though he clearly spent hours getting ready.
He could easily afford a much nicer car, but chooses to drive a 2014 Chrysler Minivan with a busted side door that randomly will open while on the road. Even though it is clearly a dump he insists it is a babe magnet.
He’s commitment-a-phobe but is a big fan of friends with benefits and casual flings. If you’re friends with him he will probably hit on you at some point.
His full name is Wilder and he knows it’s stupid and does not like to be called it. He only thought it was cool until he was like ten, and then someone said it was stupid so he started going by Wil. His dad had wanted him to be Obadiah Jr, but thankfully is mom stepped in and gave him a some what more doable name.
Wanted Connections:
