I love thinking about how to spend my hours here. This home helps me make the most of my time off! A huge part of that is how well you designed this place for me. All of your efforts have made me so happy! I wonder if my own hard work also makes those around me happy… I sure hope so!
I’m in awe of how my home is designed, but sometimes… Well… I secretly daydream about moving things around and shaking things up! It’s a fun way to pass the time. Of course, I never actually make any changes. That would be so stressful! I just like thinking about it, heehee.
I used to live with my brother, so every now and then I’ll get a bit lonely, living all by myself. That’s one of the reasons I’m so happy whenever you visit! Of course, I also just love chatting with you.

I must admit, few things are quite as pleasing as falling back asleep after one’s alarm has been silenced. Time passes in the blink of an eye, and then before I know it, I have missed breakfast. Yet is it worth it.
I have heard some say that they do not dream, but I believe this assumption is incorrect. All of us dream while we sleep, but we only consider if we dreamed by what fragments we can remember. Most dreams are forgotten, lost. And yet I deal in dreams held dear. It makes me wonder… Do those who say they do not dream merely lack memorable dreams?
I often sit in here and consider the many dreams I have seen. As crucial as it is to step away from one’s work, some dreams are far too compelling not to ponder further.
Whenever I sleep in this room, my dreams take on many unique colors and textures. Though I have seen my share of dreams, your skills in design allow for something truly marvelous.
OUTDOOR
I have found that a well-fed mind leads my dreams to take on a richer, more compelling substance. This enrichment is one among many of the reasons I enjoy relaxing here in my yard.
Mmm… a nap outdoors when the weather is nice is one of life’s simplest, deepest pleasures.
When I emerge from a nightmare, I like to step outside to enjoy the air. It helps to put my mind at ease. Whenever a nightmare troubles you, I highly recommend that you try it for yourself.
I am a firm believer that pleasant scents and pleasant dreams go hand in hand. And what better scent is there than the clean, clean air we now find ourselves enveloped by?

Okay.i made that joke with my mutual about the 10 recolored Wilburs (thank you Ringo for the comment too) but thinking about it it’s.kinda true…? Maybe there are 10 Wilburs out there…?
I always see people point out the fact that there being copies of other NPCs on other islands is kinda creepy, and it’s true! There’s multiple sets of Timmy and Tommy, Orville and Wilbur, and even villagers! That’s just.how it is cause it’s a video game
But. This happens to Wilbur even without the online aspect of it. It’s kinda hard to avoid having doubles in a video game like that when playing online! But Wilbur’s case is.interesting…
When you go to mystery islands in the game and talk to the villagers there, each personality type has a unique dialogue about Wilbur! Mostly just about tools and such but.theyre very interesting when you think about it
I didn’t think much of these at first but then I was like. Wait a minute. How did they even talk to him..?
My first assumption was “oh, maybe it’s part of his job to pick up people from other islands and take them on those tours too?” Which.. doesn’t make a whole lot of sense? Mostly because of the amount of work that would give him! He already works on the island, why is he going to other islands to do the same job???? But I let it slide.its animal crossing I don’t care!
But then I was like okay.how did they ask for tools??
Wilbur obviously doesn’t just stay there with them, right?? Because he’s always ready and available for the player to go on a trip, and he brings them there. So maybe he leaves! He might leave the mystery island and leave them alone.. maybe the villagers have these lines for right before he leaves to go do more jobs!
Then I saw this one
“A minute ago.” A.minute ago…??? Okay. The villagers very clearly don’t go to him WHILE I’m on the island so it’s not an actual minute ago. Maybe it’s like when people say “a hot minute” to mean a long time, maybe they mean “a minute ago” to just mean recently
Which STILL doesn’t make sense because how the hell did that happen recently. Especially if this is your like, 10th ticket? Wilbur has been with you the entire time! When did this happen??

Another assumption I had before thinking about this was that maybe they’re talking about another pilot. But it’s.very clear that’s not true!

“That Wilbur character, that dodo” is referring to him. Of course, him and Orville are NOT the only dodos that exist in the game’s universe, Orville mentions other dodos (which is another can of worms id like to go into)
So they DO mean this Wilbur! But.do they mean THIS Wilbur??? OUR Wilbur?
I think, with everything I have here, I can only come to one conclusion.our Wilbur exists multiple times in this game universe
Somehow!! He is always on the mystery islands and also at your island. It’s not teleportation because he is doing things off screen even when he IS on screen.. I’d assume that when he reaches the mystery island he just.replaces the Wilbur there….?
Wilbur has met many many people. Maybe even so many that.he doesn’t remember their faces and names! Or maybe.their names and faces are foggy because it wasn’t really HIM meeting them!
He just.has shared memory with the others so they all don’t remember them..
Anyways! TLDR Wilbur seems to constantly be in places he shouldn’t be in or places that doesn’t make sense time wise. Which makes me think maybe there are just multiples of him out there.
I know that there’s ALREADY multiples in the game considering that’s just how online play is but like I said this happens even without online play!
Okay so today in the morning I was searching about saint james and his story for a puzzle thingy and remembered the Marian apparitions.
Basically Mary appearing to different people in various times of history. There is no explanation for how she got there and no consistency in the timeline. Sometimes she appeared to two people at the same time in completely different parts of the world. It's merely a divine act.
I think something similar could be happening with Wilbur...
There this line that has always stuck with me about Wilbur in the official animal crossing new horizons manual (the one which says Wilbur's birthday is the 17th of December):

I'm starting to get the hang of textures in Krita. They turned out to be so useful... I think the drawing looks more alive thanks to them. Same with the halftones! Lately, im leaning into more "messy, raw feelings" on my drawings than "clean and rendered".
Some small details i would like to point out! young Wilbur and Sirica are the same color! While Orville is a lighter tone of Wilbur "present" color. Also, 20s Wilbur and 30s Wilbur share the same texture, while in present Wilbur it's only used very lightly in the shadows.
I had this idea for a while now, and while i love how it turned out, i may do another drawing based on it, maybe with more time and care.

I took a photo from my walk today and used it as the background for this drawing. I'm starting to edit more on Krita and I think this one turned out great! I made this kinda blurry feeling by duplicating the whole drawing, giving it a soft blur mask and then giving it another mask, this time the "luminosity" one. The seaplane map is took it from the internet lol.
Wilbur is very special to me. I mentioned before in a spanish post how one of his dialogue in the roost made me feel happy and hopeful. To this day, that is still the case, specially now that I'm in a far healthier and safe environment. I guess it's my turn to fly too!
