I thought it a bit strange to see a hunky young man, he must’ve been no older than 20 (he later told me he was in fact 20 years old), sitting by the pool, being that these apartments were leased by retirees. I struck up a conversation and he told me he had moved in with one of my neighbors, Janet.
After I asked the boy his name and what he was doing here; truth is, he said, “it’s hard finding a job.” Indeed, after decades of being left in the dust by young women educationally, and higher education translating into high-flying jobs and high salaries for women, young men could simply not hope to compete with them.
And this had many other implications. Boys began placing more importance on their looks as boys featured in magazines, television, and movies had ever less hair, their abdomens taut, their chests full, their behinds firm, their arms big all whilst their wardrobes got ever more skimpier for the pleasure of the female gaze.
Boys, once boisterous and proud, were now indifferent, aimless, and more focused on being the pretty little thing for a woman to set her eyes on and take as her own. Women were now dominant and calling the shots.
“Well,” I said, “lucky you, sugar tits,” as I gave his perky right nipple a little squeeze, stood up and left. His face had turned red from what I guess was embrassment, or... nevermind, he undoubtedly liked it, after all, what boy wouldn’t?
