AWAE Season 3 opening

I just noticed that Season 3 opens with someone riding a horse at full speed just like season 1 did. Of course it was Matthew riding out to get Anne back in season 1 and it’s Anne just enjoying the ride in season 3. Love the connection, though.

I knew I loved this scene, but I didn't understand that what Gilbert did was such a big deal until coming onto Tumblr. He completely changed his set of 3 to be in Anne's, breaking the pattern. Then, he changed back again to bow to her. That makes his moves even more deliberate. Love it! ❤

Here's the thing about Miss Rose...she changes Gilbert's character from the books too much for me. He was a confident young man through all the books except with Anne. She is the only one who rejected his attentions and confused him. If Miss Rose was Gilbert's age and not so bossy, I'd appreciate the storyline more. I mean, obviously, ultimately I want Shirbert, but him going walking with another girl or two is part of that storyline. I just don't like that he's so nervous and awkward nor that her character is so bossy with him.(This is not against the actress at all. She is doing the lines they gave her.)
