Content warnings: none other than Trinity’s sassy self
“Trin.” You dragged her name out.
Trinity sighs without looking up. “What?”
“Trin,” you did it again.
Trinity snapped at you, “You’ve said my name a dozen times in the past five minutes.”
You smile, cheek pressed against Trinity’s shoulder. “Because I love you.”
“I know,” Trinity replied, exasperated.
“No, you don’t,” you argued.
Trinity firmly asserted, “I really do.”
“You’re quite beautiful,” you said, your voice filled with wonder.
“I’m aware.” She murmured.
“And you’re my girlfriend,” you squealed.
“Unfortunately, that’s true.” Trinity groaned.
You giggle and pull her closer, wrapping your arms around her waist as she tries to lead you to the bed. “Please don’t leave me.”
Trinity rolled her eyes at your clinginess and said, “I’m literally walking you ten feet.”
“But what if you disappear?” you asked, genuinely frightened.
Trinity rolls her eyes, but her hand settles carefully at the small of your back. “Then you’ll survive somehow.”
She immediately softens. “Come on, baby. Sit down.”
You finally collapse onto the mattress, but before she can step away, you grab her wrist and say, “Stay.”
“Jesus,” Trinity grumbled.
Trinity gazes at you for an extended period before finally succumbing to your advances and sitting beside you. Without hesitation, you swiftly crawl into her lap, as if it were the most natural and instinctive thing in the world, burying your face against her neck.
She observed, “You’re so clingy when you drink.”
“Mm-hm.” You hummed softly.
“And tomorrow, you’re going to pretend that none of this ever happened,” Trinity said, clearly annoyed.
“No, I won’t,” you said defensively.
“You absolutely will,” Trinity insisted.
You lift your head, eyes glassy and impossibly earnest. “I love you.”
You smile sleepily and snuggle back against her.
Her expression softens as she gently brushes your hair away from your face. “I love you too,” she whispers.
You’re already half-asleep.
Trinity presses a kiss to your forehead. “And you are never drinking tequila again.”
