#Judy cuts against the grain.
The old bayous of New Orleans.
The mixed-up geology of NY Harbor and the surrounding region. A map insert from The Geology of New York City and Environs (Schuberth, 1968).
My friend makes absurdly beautiful quilts (like this one) in his apartment in Brooklyn. Check him out on Etsy and buy somethin' will ya!
Hard to believe this was on TV in Portugal in the mid-80's. Dunas by the band GNR. A sort of Bryan Ferry-esque take on Lusitanian summer lovin' with two hobbits filling in for Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta.
Holy cow. Who knew Brian Eno did a cover of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire? This is up there with Blondie's version.
O Corpo É Que Paga by Antonio Variaçoēs (1983). Roughly translates as "Your Body Pays the Price." Sadly, Variaçoēs (née António Joaquim Rodrigues Ribeiro) would die just a year later, one of the first public figures in Portugal to succumb to AIDS in the early years of the epidemic. Compare the "det-det-det-da-dets" in this song with those in Brian Eno's Driving Me Backwards on the album Here Come the Warm Jets.
O Elevador da Glória by Radio Macau (1988). Portuguese post-punk pop song about a funicular in Lisbon.
The lost rivers of London. A new tattoo in the works...
DIY tactical urbanist hacker street art fence repair. Brooklyn-style.
More drawrin'z
I used to make drawings.
An invitation to sit for a minute in the majesty of the urban forest.

Thanksgiving prerogatives from the children at the Edible Schoolyard in New Orleans (circa Fall of 2007):
Help wetlands
Cook more faince [fancy] food
More planting
Less talking
Good Thanksgiving
Dancing atop Fresh Kills Landfill. #iLAND #PARK
The Miró You Don't Know (in Brooklyn, of course).
