At the bugging of Clovis, her grandson, Anneliese Wild has decided to spruce up Haus Walden! Since Astor has a few vacation days to clear, they will be overhauling the main living areas, the dining room and kitchen over the next couple of days. (If youāve been following the photo stories, this happens after Anneliese and Astor have resolved their quarrel over Bealeās mum.)
The rejuvenated rooms will feature furnishings from the following creators [clicking will link you directly to CC]:

Note: I canāt recall where Iād found the pin-legged coffee table, nor the Cantilever armchair recolor. If someone is able to ID them, please send me an ask!
Hurrah! I was wondering if I was the only one facing the issue of dark photos. The crocheted doily mesh this CC was cloned from also appears black, regardless of the swatch, as well.

Later that night at Haus Harmon, following Hanna Wildās visit...
Hanne Aubrie: What do you mean, Iām a āsnarky little chitā?!Ā
Clovis: You were mean to Aunt Hanna this afternoon, and this evening, with Claire-!
Hanne Aubrie: Iām doing usĀ a favour! Itās annoying how the two of them are forever in their own fairy world!
Clovis: So you think itās your place to point that out, by being vile?
Hanne Aubrie: (Sneers) Iāve had it with you!
Hanne Aubrie storms out of their bedroom...
...and up the stairs...
...into her sister Claireās room.
Claire: (Mumbles sleepily)Ā Huurh... Aubie? Arenāt you... in bed?
Hanne Aubrie: Clove is being beastly! Ca-May I sleep with you tonight?
Claire: After all youāve said today? Really? (Rolls over, snuggling into pillow)
Hanne Aubrie: ...Well. Perhaps I might have been a little too harsh. Pleeaase, Clairy? Donāt make me go down again!
Claire: Your apology?
Hanne Aubrie: Iām sorry! I shall try to hold back next time, okay?
Claire: Hm. And one more to Aunt Hanna when you see her. Get changed and climb in. (Yawns) Awhh...shut the door too.
Hanne Aubrie: (Whispers) Hello, Madame Rainbowmane...Ā Your bedās so warm, Claire.
<< 001 The New Girl
Introduction to the Brodeur-Wild Family
One afternoon, as Claire and the twins are just back from school...
Claire Liesl Wild: ...You look so down, Han. Whatās up? Did Uncle Astor just drop you off?
Hanna Wild: He did, Claire. (Mumbles listlessly) Is it all right if I hang around for a bit?Ā
Claire: Youāre welcome here anytime, you know that. Come here, letās have a feel-better hug.
Hanna: Mmph. (Whispers into Claireās shoulder) It was so scary, Claire, theyāMama and AstorāIāve never seen them have such a terrible spat.
Claire: Oh no! What happened?
Hanna: Bealeās motherāChristine Faye, you know?āwants to visit, and Mama hates her. (Voice shaky, but louder) Astor thinks the Faye girl has every right to see her son, so they quarrelled. Then Astor had to go teach his guitar class before they were done, and brought us kids all out.
Claire: And you asked to come here? Letās head in for a snack, Han. The rest have gone in already.Ā
Hanna: Iām not really hungry, Claire, but okay. And yes, the rest are at the park with Astor.
Claire: (Over shoulder) That sounds all too bad...
Clovis Aurel Wild: Hi Aunt Hanna! Mama made icky greens for tea. You can have mine, Claire. (Pushes bowl over)
Claire: Thanks, Clove. Hanās not hungry. Grandmama and Uncle Astor just had a big fight.
Clovis: What about?! I hope Uncle Astor is fine.
Hanna: Hey Clove, Hanne Aubrie. The gist is, Bealeās mother wants to visit him, Astorās fine with it, but you know how Grandmama feels about her. He left before they made up. Iām not certain if itāll all be well...
Hanne Aubrie Wild: So youāre here to hide out from the bad, fighting grown-ups, eh, Aunt Hanna? Iām not surprised.
Hanna: No...itās just-
Claire: Be kind, Hanne Aubrie. (Indignantly) Thatās uncalled for!
Clovis: (Undertone) Tsstt! Mamaās here. (Loudly) Hi Mama!
Claire shoots an aggrieved look at Hanne Aubrie, who frowns back.
Claire: Afternoon, Mama. Hannaās here!
Anne Brodeur-Wild: Afternoon, darlings. Oh Hanna sweet, here to visit?
Hanna: Iām here for just a while, Anne. Your salad looks great, but Iām a little full right now.
Anne: Thatās all right. Do send your mother my love when you head back later. So whatās up at Haus Walden? And why does Hanne Aubrie look like a craggy spud?
Hanne Aubrie: Mama!
Anne: But you do, dear. Clove, did you give your salad to your sister?
Clovis: Yeah, but Iām not hungry either.
Anne: More greens for your dinner then. So, Hanna, is everything fine?
Hanna: Well, in fact, no-
Hanne Aubrie: Well, Iām not going hang around to listen to dear old Aunt Hanna ramble on about Grandmama and Uncle Astor. Homework! Clove, coming along? (Strides quickly away from table)
Hanna falls silent, stung.
Claire: (Assuringly) Donāt worry about what she said, Han!
Clovis: Mama! Aubie was rude to Aunt Hanna earlier, too!
Anne: Iāll talk to her later, Clove. I donāt know what had come over her. today. (To Hanna) Sorry about that, dear. Now, Iām curious to know whatās up at Walden...
Five minutes later...
Claire: Letās head up to chill for a bit, Han.
Hanna: (Forces a smile) Sure, Astor will likely take a while more. Thereās time.
Upstairs in Claireās room...
Hanna: ...You know how much I canāt bear it when people arenāt being nice. Itās so stressful!
Claire: I get you, Han. Itās unfair of my sister to have added to it.
Hanna sighs resignedly.
Claire: Hey, this Saturdayās family meeting, why donāt we go for a ramble in the woods near your house? The adults arenāt going to miss us anyway.
Hanna brightens up at her suggestion.
Hanna: Yes! And I know the perfect person to go with us too!
Claire: (In a small voice) Someone...else?
Hanna: Silly Claire! Itās Grandmamaās new tenant, Mr Gattefosse!
Hanne: Youād think Iāve found a new best friend, you look so worried. Mr Gattefosse is a herbalist, and wandering about the National Park forests is part of his job. Heās even met the mysterious hermit up there!
Claire: Seriously?! Oh, I want to meet him too!
Claire: Letās prepare a huuuuge basket with white cake and drinks, and weāll gather berries and such along the way! We can bring Mamaās copy of Autumn Lady to act out scenes along the way, too.
Hanna: Oh, letās! (Squirms in delight) Itās been a while since Iāve re-read that. I canāt wait for Saturday!
Anne: (From outside the door) Astorās called, Hanna! He said to meet him at the park in 10 minutes.
Claire: Okay Mama! (To Hanna) Looks like itās time, Han. Chin up, you know things between Grandmama and Uncle usually work out by themselves.
Hanna: I hope so. Beale probably has it worse than all of us. He loves Grandmama so, but heās always wanted to meet his mother, you know.
The girls head down and out. Dusk is approaching.
Hanna: Thanks for being such a good chum, Claire.
Claire: Anytime you need me. (Beams)
Claire: Good bye and take care, Han!
Hanna: See you Saturday.
Back from the zoo (first visit as a member yay)! It was just the perfect day, warm but not too hot and a slight breeze. I loved the new lemur exhibit, you can get really close to them! The zoo looked beautiful too, full of spring flowers. Treated myself to lunch and Greek yoghurt ice cream (instead of my sad packed lunch lol) - canāt wait to go back again!
Iāve added new title headers for character introductions, house revamp updates and photo stories, with a minimalistic new logo. Quite pleased with how much more cohesive this simblr looks now. :)
For the next week, Iāve a few planned posts (a new house revamp + photo story). In-game photos have been taken, just left with scripting and post-processing. For all future photo stories, starting with the upcoming 002Ā A Familiar Guest, I will be leaving out the Simlish dialogue that I edit into the photos, as they look somewhat jarring. Letās just pretend that my transcription is translated Simlish->English.Ā
Cheers!
Wild Imprint
P.S. Added the screenshot after first posting. Inception!
Would you mind if I edited your "Alphabet Nursery Wall Art" set so that the letters were in simlish? The original is so cute, but I'm trying not to put anything with english text on it in my game. I wanted to ask before I started on the project though, in case it wasn't okay.
Sure, go ahead. Thank you for asking first! Just make sure to tag me so I can see it and download it :)Ā
In light of the bullshit the xkit guy went through, I needed to get my feelings out about callout culture via a wordy comic. I am so, so tired of the culture of fear Tumblr raises - if you donāt take literally everything the underdog victim says 100% as truth, then you are horrible trash? Itās bullshit.
Itās good to believe a victim! But itās also good to exercise a bit of scrutiny, and to make sure you understand the other side of the story. People take advantage of and manipulate the willingness to believe victims, and that leads to a lot of misinformation spread at lightning speed with social media. Caution absolutely needs to be undertaken when serious claims are presented. Do you really want to be responsible for ruining someoneās life before you couldnāt take half a fucking second to try to verify the information? Verifying it doesnāt automatically mean youāre taking the side of a potential abuser! It means that you care about the truth - which, to me at least, is pretty important.Ā
When callouts happen, especially ones made in spite, what people rely on is for the subject of the callout to be ostracized and for people to revoke their support. That was explicitly asked for in my case.Ā In the community of artists I have worked so hard to make myself known in, well-known artists encouraged people to not even talk to me, to not ask āwhat the fuck is the deal with this huge callout, can you actually explain this or whatās going onā. They encouraged accepting it without question, and if you didnāt? Youād be picked off next, as an āabuse apologistā - because thatās it, isnāt it? Once you got half the story, thatās all you need on Tumblr if it sounds bad enough. Even better if itās about someone āpopularā.
Instantly, the subject of the callout is dehumanized, and people treat it like itās A-OK to send tons of horrible messages in the personās inbox, to spread the gossip as far as they canā because itās deserved, right?
And once people breach that threshold, thereās not often any coming back. People donāt often apologize for being a piece of shit to someone they think deserves it. Which, you know, means they donāt actually want to find out what might have really happened in a situation where theyāve already made some very polarizing statements.Ā Because then theyād have attacked a person who didnāt deserve that, and thatās⦠why, thatās abusive, isnāt it? But itās definitely not abusive if the person deserves it. (Thatās sarcasm.)
Iām just tired of seeing it. Iām tired of existing around people who do this. Iām tired of moderately known artists abusing their own power and their own audience for the sake of making their followers too afraid to try to think for themselves. A question like āwas there actually any abuse?ā becomes unthinkable, and so a bunch of young people suddenly are finding themselves encouraged to not rock the boat. Or theyāll be next.
Itās all fucked up. Sometimes Iām kind of bad at communicating, but I try very hard. Sometimes it takes me a while to get a message across. Iād like to think I try as hard as most people at being a good friend and a good person. I like learning ways in which I can do better, as a friend, and as a person. I expect a lot of others around me because I expect even more of myself.
So it killed a lot off inside of me thatās taken months to cultivate again, months ago. Artists I admired, people I was friends with - in an instant, they decided the thing to do was go āyep this must be true, sounds horrifying and once I had a bad vibeā. Very few people actually asked me about what happened. A lot of people were too scared to even say anything because they didnāt want to be labeled a fucking abuse apologist.
And thatās pretty fucked up. This is why callouts are not to be thrown around, especially with regards to abuse. I was so angry about it at the time because I had tried so hard to be as supportive as I could during that relationship. You can ask the other two people who Iām still dating about how much I cared about that person. They were around every step of the way, through all of my happiness and sadness over the situation. My big fucking mistake was venting in a public place about all of my feelings to do with the breakup. That was my huge ācommunication errorā, but I couldnāt even talk to my ex at that point anyway because Iād been blocked, so I had no way of communicating it to him. Regardless, writing post-breakup feelings, no matter how true I find them still, is a really bad idea to stick anywhere public. Even on my side blog I didnāt realize anyone read.
I donāt know. Finally I feel strong enough as a person to talk about this. Iām so tired of people hiding behind anon to spread the same tired āPK is an abuserā line - heaven fucking forbid they attach their words to a name that can be held accountable for its actions.
I donāt really know what more can be expected of me than I already give. I am pretty blunt and literal and I like being that way because it means Iām putting all of my feelings out there - so whatās really hard for me to deal with is people reading my words with insincerity. Please donāt - nothing riles me up more than insincerity.
Anyway, for the sake of everyone in the future, donāt fucking mash reblog on a post calling someone out without putting time and effort into research. Seriously. It takes literal seconds to start the snowball of ruining someoneās life, so please hold back from an instant reblog.
Please donāt rebuke people for trying to figure out the truth of a situation, either. Itās always a good thing to get both sides of a story. Sometimes youāll find that the other half of the story only confirms what you originally thought, but sometimes youāll find you would have been acting like a complete fucking jackass if it had been wrong.
Happily photographs newly-decorated bedroom. Realises that she canāt remember where half of the awesome CC came from. Cringes.
...Tagging and crediting will be a bitch. ā____ā (I will do it though. No worries, creators!)
Edit: And I just noticed that the ceiling lamps have disappeared. Re-shoot! Ack.
Following Zechariah Harmonās death, the Wild family split up, with Anneliese and her daughters moving on to Haus Walden. Astor had gone jaunting off to be a wandering musician, leaving Aurel, the first of her twin sons, to set up home in his late step-fatherās house and marry the girl next door (literally). Three little towheaded children soon followed in quick succession, their laughter and squabbles bringing Haus Harmon back to life.
Aurel Wild
While a lover of music as well, teenaged Aurel decided against following in his brotherās footsteps, leaving his family of creatives baffled when he sprinted off to the alien field of sports. After a couple of years of blazing the countyās track, he picked up Mixed Martial Arts from one of his athlete friends, and decided that it was more his thing. He is currently a competing welterweight, appearing on regional matches that air on TV a few times a month. So far, itās been pulling in enough Simoleons to support his growing family.
Despite his macho profession, Aurel has never quite lost his endearingly boyish looks. Heās just so earnest about anything he says or does (one reason why his family took his passion for MMA in stride after a while) and strives to be the greatest dad ever to his three young onesāeven if heās never known one; Zechariah Harmon was great, but Aurel was almost done growing up by the time his step-father came into the picture. Thursday afternoons with PapaāAurelās day offāis the best thing ever, as far as Claire, Clovis and Hanne Aubrie are concerned.
Anneliese Brodeur-Wild
Anne, nicknamed so by her family (just as well, since she shares the same first name as her mother-in-law), is a lover of language, and this fact has actually saved her life. In middle school, a group of bored schoolmates had dug up her āunsavouryā pastāshe was the child of a teenaged mumāand her current unusual householdāshe lives with her mum, her Turkish wife and step-childrenāand used it to blackmail her. Being particularly sensitive to language, all the name-calling hurt. Anne was crying nearly every day, and her family did not know how to help her.Ā
It was how then neighbour, the older Anneliese Wild, found her one dayāsobbing her heart out on Willow Bridgeāand made her a life-saving offer: come help her tidy up her study and do some drafting work after classes, in return for pocket money. It gave Anne something to look forward to throughout the school day, and nourished her word-hungry soul. Over time, the bullies got bored, yet Anne had gained a welcoming shelter, a concerned friend, and a chance ā o meet her future sweetheart and husband, Aurel Wild.
After Aileen Wild, Anne is the next person Anneliese would trust with her inheritance and dream. While itās unspoken between them, the moment Wild ImprintĀ is set up,Ā Anne would quite her job as an editor at a publishing firm to work with her mother-in-law.
Claire Liesl Wild
After her aunt Hanna, Claire is the next most airy-fairy child in the Wild family. Unicorns, impossible flying machines, rainbow castles in the skyāthese are the stuff of Claireās make-believe games. Her little sister Hanne Aubrie would much rather play House than be stuck in Claireās ridiculously fluffy imaginings. Still, for all that her head is in the clouds, Claireās heart is in the right place. She always has a kind word for people around her.
As Anneās firstborn child, Claire has always had a special place in her heart. Her mother loves having brainstorming sessions together in theirĀ āword nookā, and even lets Claire help type drafts on her precious old typewriter. Anne wishes that her daughter were a little more grounded, worried that her Luna Lovegood personality would make her a target for the same kind of bullying sheād suffered in her adolescence. However, for all that her parents are both placid folk, Claire is actually pretty quick to flare up when she sees injustice being done, and has enough of a sharp tongue to protect herself, if needed.
the twins, Clovis Aurel Wild and Hanne Aubrie Wild
Clovisās two loves are retro music and good design. The boy had decided that a while ago when he came by a couple of design mags and his uncle Astorās influence. Nothing can convince him otherwise, and he is often found diligently pouring over colour wheels and Best Publication Layouts of the Years while bopping along to the tunes from his green box. Undoubtedly, Clove is Aurelās sonāitās hard to mistake their equally intense attitudes towards the things they love. Aurel sometimes jokes that Anneliese Wild should poach young Clove as a graphic designer for their Wild Imprint business while heās still available.
For all that Hanne Aubrie is usually a sweet child, she finds it hard to be good and loveable and interesting. Ā Her pastime is to make crafty, fiddly things, collecting fabric and odd old ends to be remade into keychains and pillow covers. What she has yet to recognise is how useful her nimble fingers and ability to find a use for old things can be. She is pretty sure that others think her hobby boring and befitting a granny. It doesnāt help that sometimes, she feels so ordinary next to Claire and Hanna, and unsophisticated beside Clove, with his outpouring of colour theory and music trivia. Her inferiority complex has led her to sometimes utter bitter words of jealousy to her siblings, which she regrets soon after.
The twins share the downstairs bedroom, which their aunts Aileen and Hanna Wild once slept in. Hanne Aubrie loves the vintage carved wood furnishings that were spared when Grandpa Harmon missed out the room when renovating the house. What she hatesābut Clove lovesāare the ugly iron bedsteads, which Grandpa Harmon had scrambled to buy on finding out that the Wilds were moving in with him, Ā when he had just married their Grandmama. Hanne Aubrie wouldnāt mind sharing the room with her brother as much, if they let her redecorate the room, daintily.
Curatorās note: Hanne Aubrie was named after the same ancestor as Hanna. To avoid confusion, Hanne Aubrieās second name is put in play. On a non-character-related note, thereās evidently a lot of CC/mods in the images above. I will attempt to credit the CC in future posts, but the piggyback pose mod is by Toast.
After so many testings, I finally 90% happy with it. So, I share this pose set to you guys, just for fun. I would like to see you guysā feedback, so please tagged me if you use it!Ā d(`dād)b
