Crawling King Snake - The Doors
ohh my god
Lilith turned and nodded a hello to the drummer, who had looked over at the two when he heard his name mentioned. He smiled slight and waved back at the young girl, who giggled. Lilith took the drink from Robert, grinning as she followed him over to the seating area. “Well, I love The Stones, and The Doors, The Beatles, I mean, anything that makes me feel good, honestly.” Lilith shrugged casually, sipping on the wine as she felt herself easy up a bit and relax. Her hand soon felt around in her purse, finally find her pack of cigarettes. She set down her glass and offered the pack to the singer first before taking one and lighting it.
As she spoke he smiled, “Ah The Doors, and The Stones” Robert’s long fingers reached for the back and he took a cigarette out and reached into his shirt pocket for his lighter, “They’re rather good” He then thought for a moment, “I like The Beatles later albums a bit better than their early ones” He took a drag from the lit cigarette, “Then again you’re talking to the man who sings about Hobbits, and Mordor” He smiled and shrugged, “But I think the best kind of music no matter wot taste is the kind that touches you, and ignites something” He let the puff of cigarette out, and then took a sip from his wine, “I’d imagine you’re in College then?” He asked.
"Nope, I actually left home last year to come out here. Maybe I'll go back to school, but for now, I'm trying to figure out what I wanna do." Lilith shrugged and drew in a deep breath of smoke, soon blowing it out into the air above their heads. "And songs about Mordor and Hobbits are never a bad thing, they make you different from what you hear on the radio today!"
"Excuse me miss, you've dropped this." Ava handed the tall and elegantly featured woman her wallet that fell from her pocketbook, sending her a warm smile.
"O-oh thanks, thought there’s barely anything in that old thing anywaymmm" Lilith smiled sheepishly as he took the wallet from the pretty girl. She slipped it back into her ragged old purse as she sighed. "I swear sometimes my head would fall off my body if it wasn’t attached to my body! "

"Levittown, Long Island, otherwise known as the middle of nowhere." Lilith joked as she grinned down at the smaller woman. "I’m trying to get my way over to Laurel Canyon, I mean, I just wanna start over, ya know?" Lilith could find herself opening up more and more to Ava, even if they just met. She seemed so easy going and genuine, that she made the younger girl feel safe.
Ava beamed. “I have family in Hempstead, I’m from Manhattan, my mom is from Brooklyn, daddy’s a Jersey boy from Atlantic City.” She grins. “Long Island accents aren’t so strong huh?” She giggles. “Laurel Canyon, that’s where my friend lives, Jim. He’s a sweetie, but everyone sees him as a Pan of some sort.” Ava continued to rub her belly. “How old are you?”
"I feel like everyone somehow know’s a person who lives out that way, but 18." She sighed as she looked down at her feet, a bit embarrassed by her age. She was an adult afterall but not too many people took her seriously once he told them how old she was. "But a Pan huh? I love people like that, that just means they know how to have some fun!"
She saw that the lady looked embarrassed about her age so ava comforted her. “I’m 19, but I was a groupie at 16, the only musician I groupie now is my husband and I’m glad for it.” She giggles. “Yeah he’s the king of parties, and knows how to have a good time, just don’t get too friendly with him or his partner will be mad, her names Pam shes cool as long as you dont try to get into Ji’s pants.” She laughs.
"I'm not like that, if a man has a girl, I wouldn't want to get in between them..." Lilith sighed a bit, as she looked over at Ava. "Honestly, I would kill to be a groupie, only for the fact they get to be around so many creative people. I feel like musicians are just a whole different type of species sometimes..." The younger girl laughed as she realized how silly she sounded just then. "Sorry, sometimes I just get a bad habit of romanticizing things."
"You did, I mean, you guys were absolutely splendid! Plus hearing you sing live has always been one of my dreams come true!" Lilith laughed a bit as she watched the older man pour himself a drink. "I actually stuck out of my house for the first time to see that show…and oh, um I’m 18, sir." She added to her statement in a muffled tone. She probably seemed like just some dumb kid to him as she looked down at the carpet, as her mind raced, realizing where she was. She was backstage at a Led Zeppelin show, she was in a place where most girls would give their soul up to get to. Something about that made her smile as she glanced back over at the singer.
"Sir?” Robert laughed, “Just call me Robert luv, Sir is my father” He nodded as she kept talking, “I’m guessing you never got caught?” As he took a sip, “God I can remember all of that shite…me Mum yelling and me going to do it the next night with John” He gestured to their drummer, “He’s a wild one…a good bloke but he misses his wife” He offered her a glass of wine (hell it wasn’t like it was drugs or anything) “So wot other bands do you like?” Robert asked as he gestured to a table where they could sit down and talk.

"I did, sir." Lilith laughed nervously as she took the singer’s hand. "I just heard you guys were going to play here tonight, so I rushed over." The young girl babbled as her mind screamed at her to shut up, to not look like an airhead, but it seemed that her mouth was moving a mile a minute. "I mean, I just saw you guys for my birthday last year when you were in New York playing and you were absolutely amazing!"
"Ah we are aren’t we?” He said keeping a smile on his face and as he shook her hand he found that he was in front of a fan, which to him was VERY important. Robert then thought for a minute before dropping her hand, “Oh Jesus you saw us then?” He scratched the back of his head, “I hope we do a good show for you then” It was crowded backstage and Robert then led her a little bit more into the heart of it all, “How old are you then?” He asked as he poured himself some wine.
"You did, I mean, you guys were absolutely splendid! Plus hearing you sing live has always been one of my dreams come true!" Lilith laughed a bit as she watched the older man pour himself a drink.
