Hi! I’m @wilds-ponytail, but you can call me Wild, Ponytail, or Tail! (if there’s something else you’d rather call me, or something that you already call me then just let me know!) My pronouns are she/they and I prefer feminine or neutral descriptors, but I’m also cool with masculine terms of address like dude, bro, etc ✌️
NOTE: This is a sideblog so likes/follows/replies/off-anon asks will come from @charlithium

DMs and ask box are always open and anon is always on for asks!

Tags! I don’t always remember to tag my reblogs but my original posts will always be tagged so here’s a list of the tags I use:
linked universe
lu [name] - for example #lu wild
lu edit - sometimes I like to amuse myself by making terrible edits
lu update - block this tag to avoid spoilers, I tend to make a lot of posts whenever there's an update
ponytail wrote a thing - my writing tag! I don't write that often so don’t expect to see much under here (I'm also on AO3)
ponytail plays - I use this tag when I'm post about things I've seen/done when playing BotW (master mode is currently kicking my ass)
ponytail's pets - I (currently) have three cats and two dogs, photos of them can be found under this tag! If you want more photos of them just ask; I'm always excited to share photos of them
behold the heroes - I made title cards for the Heroes and I’m open to suggestions for new captions!!
i occasionally vent post, and those posts are always tagged as ‘vent’ or ‘venting in the tags’, and my vent posts specifically about my chronic pain are tagged ‘chronic pain can fuck off’
I try to tag common triggers but if I miss something or you have anything specific you want me to add then let me know!

A few personal… quirks, I guess?
I don’t always use capital letters, but I will mostly use punctuation marks and proper grammar (I will advocate for the oxford comma until the day I die, and I still don’t know when to use a semi-colon even though I use them fairly often)
I use both emoticons :) and emojis 🙂 because I feel like they give off very different vibes but I try to stick to one type per post
I’m liable to keysmash when I can’t find the words to properly express my thoughts and feelings, in a good way
There are lots of reasons why fandom is "quieter" now than it used to be. Some theories are more compelling to me than others, and they all have a different scale of impact. We'll never know for sure, of course, but I like to think about it. Thus, this poll.
Of the list below, which reason do you find most compelling or do you think had the biggest impact?
New entrants to fandom don't know the old ways
fandom olds didn't teach the newcomers how to fandom
covid/surge in fandom due to quarantine and lockdowns
"antis" and other harassment campaigns against creators
creators posting complaints about comments (people worry about commenting wrong)
rise of discord popularity - fandom is walled off from each other
tumblr porn ban and other reasons people left the site
capitalism turning fandom into a passive "view and move on" commodity
rules from social media impacting fan culture (eg. don't comment on old posts)
general state of the world / burnout
social anxieties in an increasingly complex online culture
"surveillance state" worries and not wanting to be perceived
Remaining time: 2 days 20 hours
This is an incomplete list, so if your most compelling reason isn't listed, feel free to add it in the notes.
