The Seven Lucky Gods

So as I got ready to make some themes with the following cards, I got a tad bit curious about what gods/goddesses each of the cards were. So after researching some Japanese mythology and raging when I found there was a section specifically for these gods, I finally figured out what each of them were.

**Please note that this is theory. I know that the set is based of these gods for sure, but I do not know for sure if how I got it sorted out is correct. This is just based off the cards at hand and the deities themselves.

Ahem... okay, while I can’t gurantee Nico’s (her card’s story isn’t up on the wiki page I checked), I can guarantee that all the SRs are correct. They mention which god they are.

However, Eli is actually based on a Japanese myth. It is said that a celestial being came down to earth once and fell for a human, but because of this they couldn’t return to the celestial world of the gods. If you would like to try and use her as the sometimes added eighth god then I guess that’s fine, but I thought it might be worth noting what her card is actually based off of.

“Tch… those guys are just… ugh!!” if there was one thing she had become sick off over the past two years of her college career then it was the football jerks. Yea, she and others may not be a part of the college’s most popular sport, but that most certainly didn’t mean they could be donkeys towards the others who weren’t ‘as important’– especially to the girls like her who didn’t have the option of playing football.

18. climb trees 

“This is utterly childish.” one of the more mature idols muttered as she watched the other two girls with her start climbing up a tree. Memories of the days where Honoka, Kotori, and she herself did this ran through her head; the bad and good memories of doing this with them. They all sometimes made it to the top, but there were the times where Honoka got lucky and didn’t suffer from a flimsy branch– like Kotori and her did. Yes, climbing trees turned out to be a bigger part of her childhood than she thought they would…

A part that should stay in her childish memories…

“I’m not doing this.” they were probably all too heavy to do something like this now, after all.

To say she was just embarrassed would be an understatement. Sure, it was embarrassing, but this entire situation could be described with many other words– such as humiliating. One of the other members had the ‘great’ idea of each idol having a fellow friend choose their attire for this outing. And much to her dismay, Umi’s fate was that of a two piece bikini that– for once– did not have a skirt part to go with it. Thus making the already revealing attire even more immodest.

Despite what people may think of Umi, she can stand her own in a fight. The kind of bows they sometimes use in archery-- not to mention the perseverance and strength she has gained from years of learning martial arts and traditional dance from her parents-- has helped and required her to become a bit strong, per say.
