Where: The training grounds in the Red Keep
Daemon didnât like to leave Pyke, at least not when it meant he would be stuck in land somewhere else. He didnât like having to deal with all these nobles, pretending like he cares about what they have to say and the boring conversations that he had to keep going to not seem rude. Plus, Kingâs Landing was a bit too warm for his liking and he was already missing the seas breeze and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. The constant pain on his body was easier to handle when he could just take a swim in the cold water. Warm weather made his bones hurt more than usual and he hated that.
Daemon sat near the training grounds, watching the soldiers and other nobles practicing and sparring. He had a jug filled with wine next to him, along with an empty cup. People were walking by, some of them would spare him a look, most likely recognizing him as one of the Princes from the Iron Isles, others wouldnât even spare him a second look. Daemon heard the footsteps approaching and still looking down at the sword resting on his lap, that he had been sharpening and cleaning, he spoke up. âKingâs Landing has a certain charm to it, doesnât it? Although, a little too warm for my liking.â He paused, not wanting to seem rude. âHow are you enjoying your stay?â He wasnât sure if the person had just arrived or had been here for sometime, either way, he was trying to be polite.Â
this was more her scene;Â not the twirling pleasantries inside the red keep. the sound of metal clashing against metal ; the grunts and war screams. it caused a bounce to come from her - a giggle. she spent many a days at evenfall hall sparring with her mother-- a great knight ; the first female knight in all of the seven kingdoms. and when she held oathkeeper in her hands-- it warmed them. lit a fire within her that would never be snuffed out. and so what if she stole oathkeeper from her brother?
âget up, pretty lord!â she called to her sparring partner now sprawled out onto the ground. a twirl of the sword was given as she stepped closer. spitting out the blood that pooled into her mouth. a cheap shot given. ânot very nice.â but then he tapped out as his little guards came running. sliding oathkeeper into the sheathe nestled on her hip- she made her way over. not noticing the prince seated as she rolled her shoulders. damn.. that pretty lord almost took her out. impressive. she didnât have the build of her mother or father- a surprise to both of them. but years on her own ; she knew how to handle herself. the princeâs words caused her head to turn slightly to look at him , her fingers rubbing the side of her jaw. âstinks.â she simply said before plopping down with a heavy sigh. ânever one for big places... but the people are amusing to say the least. and the dragons are... terrifying.â her sapphire eyes fluttered over the the kraken on his attire. âmy prince...â she muttered.Â
