Glad to see you back on my dash today! Can I ask if there was anything from season two that surprised or intrigued you in a positive way? Or was it all pretty much a poor follow up to season 1 in your opinion?

I did like some moments in season 2 I’m not like super anti hate the show now lol but I just wish they had done a lot of things differently in retrospect 😞 It would have been so easy for the writers to invest less in the irrelevant/weird stuff they had going on and instead muster up a little bit more creativity to strengthen the storylines that the audience was already invested in. Like they just went over the top with certain things that didn’t even serve a purpose. In my opinion lol

That being said from what I can remember of the season, I liked the soft moments between Mel and Alex as they warmed up to each other, her being more open about her relationships in general, Ruth choosing Melanie & the train over Wilford, and a lot of the scenes off snowpiercer because I think that’s a cool dynamic for the show as long as they don’t get rid of the train entirely

Did you have a favorite character from the newbies on Big Alice?

Hmm not really except for Alex

I was looking forward to Sykes being more of a formidable character or someone who might possibly switch sides and tip the balance at the last minute but they really just gave her nothing to go off huh

Instead, I liked that season 2 provided us with more screen time of characters we already knew and in situations/ interactive groups that we hadn’t seen them in before (though the reasoning was due to a lack of Melanie)

For example I loved all of Javi and Ben’s scenes, Ruth and Layton making a great team, and Till, Roche, and Lights getting a bit more screen time as well

I don't want to think about Melanie being dead. It's too awful for words!!!!

But you mentioned flashbacks. Are there any in particular you'd like to see? Like of Mel and baby/little Alex? Or Mel and Ben first meeting? Early years on Snowpiercer? Something else? (I just want happy Mel :( )

I’d like to see a more casual look at how things operated at Wilford industries leading up to departure. I’m not interested in Wilford at all, I just want to see Melanie designing/ physically making parts of snowpiercer until the early hours of the morning or something, with cameos from Ben, Javi, and Alex

But yeah I wouldn’t mind some earlier flashbacks from the first couple years on Snowpiercer too, just nothing angsty

I too am afraid they'll tease Melanie being alive and only give us flashbacks! 😢

The only way I see flashbacks being sort of okay is if they lead up to the reveal that she’s alive and continues to stay alive for further seasons if there are more. But even that seems like a lot of emotional whiplash
