"Finished," he announced simply and stood back, hands held up so the gel wouldn’t touch anything.

He walked to the side to wash his hands off but kept an eye on Will and his reaction.

"I think it looks much better than your shaggy hairstyle from before. I honestly don’t know how you saw through that mess." Now, Will’s hair was shorter on the sides but he still had bangs and his hair looked like it had volume. But the good kind of volume, not the kind that made your head look 4 inches wider on either side.

Will stood up and looked at himself in the mirror, his eyebrows raised, and a smile grew on his face as he looked at his reflection. He looked back at Allen quickly, and flashed another grin. "Wow, I--" Will chuckled. "I don't know how I saw through it either, to be honest. It looks great, I'm impressed!" The pleasant smile still on his face, Will turned away from his reflection and towards Allen. "Thank you very much."

It seemed Will was going to be co-operative and silent as Allen worked; his favorite kind of patron.

Allen got back to work, taking off a couple of inches from the side and back so that his hair was shaggy anymore. He worked with his bangs, but didn’t cut them much shorter than they already were. It was a simple trim and he was finished within the hour.

He placed his scissors away and began to use his hands instead, using just a bit of gel to get it styled the way he wanted it to.

Will remained silent, trying to keep his eyes from drooping as Allen began to use his hands rather than scissors. For some reason, whenever anyone but himself handled his hair, Will became sleepy. He wasn't able to see his reflection, so instead he thought to himself, wondering if Regis would like the change. It was, after all, his uncle who had recommended the trim in the first place, stating that Will looked akin to a ruffian; Will smiled to himself at the thought.

His mind wandered next to wondering how Allen managed to work and still look perfectly put together. A quick glance at his watch told Will that it was about 5:00 P.M., yet the man looked like he'd just gotten ready for the day. He sighed a bit to himself as he pondered this and other things while the other man worked.

[sets the badly decorated house on the table, admiring his work] Ha! It's certainly not the loveliest home in all of the islands, but it's certainly the most delicious! [plucks a gumdrop bush and pops it into his mouth] Mm, yes.

Allen got ready to work, gesturing for Will to take a seat before throwing a salon apron around him, fastening it at his neck. He wordlessly began to comb through his hair, focusing his attention on that rather than small talk. He did voice one question though.

"Do you want to get a wash, as well?"

Will honestly loved the feeling of someone touching his hair, and so he became a bit drowsy the instant Allen started combing his hair. When he asked a question, though, he snapped up. 

"Hm, I suppose not--It's rather cold outside, and I shan't wish to fall ill!"

[blushes] Oh, er… thanks, I guess. It ain’t anythin special, my folks just really liked it, I guess. Hmm? [gets even more flustered] N-no it’s really nothing it’s an embarrassing story, really, ya won’t want ta hear it.

[smiles warmly] Oh, I won't force you to tell me, but I'd certainly love to learn more about you, Miss Sara. [raises his eyebrows slightly] Of course, I have my fair share of embarrassing stories... If you tell yours, I'll tell one of mine...?

"I suppose I can fix it," he finally said, acting as if Will had done some great disaster to his hair and it would take a miracle to set it right. He was starting to get an image in his mind of what he wanted to do with Will’s hair.

He walked over to one of his salon chairs and gestured for Will to follow him.

"Aha... Well thank goodness for that..!" Will chuckled awkwardly, following Allen to the salon chair. He wondered what Allen would do to his hair, but he wasn't nervous that it would look good; it was rather that he hadn't cut his hair in so long, so he got a strange anxiety from this change. He let it go, though, and kept a serene smile on his face. He was ready.

It sticks pretty darn bad, let me tell ya what. [wrinkles her nose] When I was five- hey, wait, what are you…? [blinks as he bows] Er… howdy, that’s all right. I’m Sara. Uh… good ta meetcha?

[smiles warmly] Ah, Sara, then? A lovely name! [frowns] Oh, I'm terribly sorry I interrupted--you were saying~?

Interesting, yeah… <half-smiles> Snow is nice if you’re wearing like, five coats and three pairs of pants, but then you can’t move. Nah, I’m much more of a summer kinda guy. But uhhhh… no, no, I’m good I don’t need your coat. What kinda man would I be, anyway? I’ll tough it out just fine.

[nods] Ah, now that I understand. [smiles warmly,although his eyes widen a bit after a moment] Ah--My name is Will, by the way. What's your name?

Huh? <clicks his tongue> Man! Why’s everyone gotta pick on my outfit today?! Okay look — they’re fur-lined. Fur-lined! They’re way warmer than they look! And by the way, I am cold, thank you very much. It’s awful. Winter sucks. <blows his bangs out of his right eye>

[eyes widen] Oh! No, I'd never "pick" on anyone's clothing choice! Rather, I find it quite... Interesting! [smiles confidently] Besides, I'm sure... Fur-lined.. Shorts are quite warm, indeed. [frowns] Ah, Winter is certainly cold, but I find the snow to be beautiful. However... [looks him over] Do you need my coat? I'd be happy to give it to you if you're cold...?

Man! <rolls his eyes> One-win streak I had goin’ there… I mean, my spelling’s crap, too, but look at me — I look like a guy who can’t spell his way out of a paper bag. I’m surprised.

[chuckles] Ah, truly? I don't think so, sir. However... How do you keep warm? I'm wearing a heavy coat and I'm still cold...?

[farmersara]

[bursts into incredulous laughter] No way, are you serious? Gosh if it had gotten bad I would have had to live in the barn! Do you know how bad cow farts stink? No thanks! I’ll just stick to buying sweets in the city.

[shakes his head, laughing genuinely] I suppose... I don't know how badly cow... Gas stinks...! I do apologize, however. [bows his head to her for a moment, before raising it quickly, his eyes wide] Oh! I haven't introduced myself, how terribly rude! I'm Will, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

[farmersara]

You did! [laughs sheepishly] I wish I could believe you but the numerous fires I’ve had to put out say otherwise.

[shrugs] Hm, just think of it as more ways to start a fire? [smiles cheerily]

[farmersara]

[grins] Can’t say I’d see a guy like you LOVING it. Seems like it might be too messy. [laughs] But hey, I don’t like fishing much myself, either. What pays the bills, I guess.

[laughs] Ah--Yes, I suppose that's correct as well. Heh, I've never loved fishing, even when my father would try to take me on trips... [shrugs] But paying bills, I suppose, would be a good reason to at least tolerate it, hm?

Er-- [scratches the back of his head] Actually, I'm a terrible speller. [smiles apologetically] However, I suppose it's nice that I seem like a good speller...?

I do! I wish I was better at it… I’d make so many pies!

[grins] Ah, I guessed correctly? [nods] I suppose I'm the same way, actually. I bet you're better at it than you think, though!

[nods] Indeed! Ever since I was young, visiting places around the world was such a wonderful thing to do.

[his mouth opens and closes a few times, and he chuckles] ...Indeed. Am I that easy to read?
