As a deep ocean researcher, I really would love more marine creatures and environments in MTG, as well as an oceanographer creature someday. There have been some remarkable additions lately with sea monster support and Kenessos, so I hope to see this continue. Especially lands depicting cold seeps, brine pools, reefs, hydrothermal vents, etc. A Water World plane is a dream come true for me.

It's on the short list.

Who would like a water world, and if yes, what would you like to see it to contain?

I'd like to chime in that I really like the idea of a Commander Legends set tied to non-Magic IP. I'm super hyped for Baldur's Gate, and I even think there's certain types of IP with large casts of characters that could make for excellent Universes Beyond Commander Legends. That said, I think my preference would be for the two types of Commander Legends sets to alternate. Magic Universe Commander Legends one year, then UB Commander Legends, then repeat.

How do we others feel? Would you prefer future Commander Legends sets be Magic-themed, or would you prefer a mix?

I think I would prefer at least there to be a magic/fantasy focus on the commander legends most the time, I don't mind a UB Commanders legends set, but I would prefer a magic-themed one. Maybe a ratio of 2 magic-1 fantasy theme- 1 not so fantasy (cyborg kamigawa like but still with magic flair)

Tried my hand at doing some “reboot” designs of the original starter Pokemon! These designs all have a basis in Japanese mythology, to suit the setting of the first game. Too much fun!

My boyfriend is literally the cutest Minecraft player. I heard him go “Oh, hello, sir! Are you all alone out here?” and looked up to find him greeting a single villager, living in a small one-house village squished up against the side of a woodland manor.

“Do you need some help making your space nicer? Your house doesn’t even have a door! How about a bed, and a chest? Oh, you know what? I’ll just expand your house for you.”

So he got to work, building an add-on to this lone villager. Next time I check in, he’s completed the villager’s house, fenced in the area around the house, well and garden and fixed up the garden. Before leaving, he spawned in an Iron Golem and said,

“I left some food in your chest, sir! Take care!”

Then he left.

He’s currently making an ocean sanctuary for dolphins and sea turtles and building a beach house and greenhouse/marine biology lab to keep an eye on them from.

Update: he’s found a second little farm (this one with two houses and two villagers) and is determined to make it nice and pretty for them. He’s in the process of laying out paths for them and planing out garden locations.

Inquiring Minds Want To Know - Planes to Visit in the Future

In today’s information gathering, I’m interested to hear what planes you want to visit in an upcoming Standard-legal set. Here’s how I would like you to respond. Please list, in order, your favorites from one up to five. You can list less than five, but please restrict yourself to five answers. Number 1 should be the plane you most want to see us visit in the future. 

If you’re interested you may also tell me why you want to return to that plane. You can list any known plane including ones we’ve never visited before. I need names of existing planes though and not “wild west plane”. 

Here’s an example:

1. Innistrad - It’s my favorite plane

2. Fiora - I love Conspiracy and would like to see Fiora in a Standard-legal set.

3. Tarkir - Go back, but there better be clans.

4. Rath - I don’t know how you’d do it, but I’d love it.

5. Alara - More Esper please.

1. Tarkir, love me dragons and it would be really cool to either get new cards for the dragons lords or flesh out the dragons clans further. A past set ft the old tarkir clans would also be cool as maybe a core set or something

2. Amonket, I know we just went there but seeing it post recovery (if there is one) after Bolas would be cool and see how Hazoret manages to put her plane together

3. Innistrad, love the vampire theme

4. Kaldheim. Would be a cool viking set to do

5. Phyrexia, would like to see some new praetor cards
