willow arched a brow at the other. “honestly? i’d be dead.” she shrugged her shoulders at the thought. “i’ve gotten too used to nothing being lethal that i’ve grown comfortable.” she admitted, a small sigh leaving her lips. “five second rule though?” she questioned, moving to pick up the muffin from the ground. “i think we can afford to buy a new one though.”

“Think fast!” Logan called out, throwing a muffin at the other as he approached, “This isn’t work related, I just wanted to test your reflexes and also give you a treat at the same time.”

Willow raised an eyebrow at the blonde as she watched the muffin fly past her head. “What the fuck Logan!” she gave the other a disapproving look as she heard the item land with a thud behind her. “Do you throw muffins at everyone you see or what?”

“Probably wore the wrong outfit at the wrong time?” Willow shrugged as she looked over at her friend. “All we can hope for now is a better new year right?” she took her friends hand and squeezed it lightly. “Make this year your bitch.”

“Sorry!” Rosalind apologised as she dove inside the building, tugging her jacket tightly about her person. “I should be used to the cold weather by now but I still prefer being in here than out there if I don’t have to be. I didn’t mean to push you out of the way.”

Willow offered Rosalind a sympathetic smile as she nodded her head. “Don’t worry I get it, I’m the same with head.” she shrugged her shoulders as she offered the other her scarf. “This might help keep some warmth in you.”

Ophelia already stuffed her face with gummy bears and needed a moment to finish chewing before she could reply. “Are we rationing food now? You have more snacks under your bed.”

“Those snacks are for emergencies only. And you were supposed to bring something other than your phone charger, Phee,” she rolled her eyes.

“ We are absolutely not eating the under-the-bed snacks ! ” Anastasia complained, shoving them further against the wall. “ I bought more chocolates, too, plus every fashion magazine they had left in stock at the market. ”

Willow groaned as she watched Anastasia push the food against the wall. “I mean in emergency situations, like said snow storm i think we can make exceptions.” she grinned hopefully at the others. “All i’m saying is we shouldn’t cross out all our options.”

Willow paused as she was about to do just that before smoothing out the corner of the book. She let out an awkward laugh before quickly closing her book. “I totally agree.” she grinned widely at the other. “What kind of monsters did their parents raise.”
