Even though Matt wasn’t part of the IRT any more that didn’t help the three am calls to deal with the in country troubles. She was used to it, but it didn’t make it any easier. Thankfully, she was starting to meet the BAU spouses and build support systems with them so they aren’t always suffering alone.

When Will text her, she smiled at bit.

Will smiled when he got the return text.  When Matt, and more importantly for his part, Kristi, had joined the BAU, had been a very good addition to his life.  He loved JJ and he loved his life, but it was nice to have someone else who understood the hard parts, and the reasons it was difficult to admit sometimes that it was hard.

Will had known when the phone rang at three this morning that he was in for a solo weekend, but it was a routine he’d become somewhat used to over the years.  It was a little easier now that the boys were older, not that they had let him sleep any later.  At least the weather was cooperating.   

He sent a text off to Kristi guessing she might be in the same boat.
