i really think jean’s workaholic nature boils down to some form of impostor syndrome,    because deep down she thinks she has to constantly be working / fighting to keep mond in top shape in order to be seen as good enough.   that and i really  ...  don’t think being appointed dandelion knight / acting grandmaster so young helped her case either. :’)   i’m sure she dealt with rumours regarding favouritism as well,    especially regarding her family name,    because why else would master varka pick someone so young to take his place while he’s away,   right  ?
