Good morning dear friends, and happy Saturday <3!
First pictures of the new altar painting, devoted to Goddess Chaxiraxi, mother of the Guanches of Tenerife. This is the largest piece I’ve ever painted (canvas without frame is 51x 68 cms/ 20x27 inches), which makes it not only a work of devotion, but a huge step in my work as an artist. Once finished, it will be mounted in the lovely frame pictured, which was a trash find that we fixed and restored, and hung above the altar.
I’m sorry that the pics are not too good - my camera hates red, and the lights in the studio are really strong to avoid eye strain; that makes for a lot of lense flare. I will try to get better pictures upstairs during the week.
