It's definitely not something he hides. It feels like he's going to fish for whatever compliments he can get. He has spent most of his life struggling to be a person that might even be slightly worthy of a compliment. We know that he doesn't think he's ever going to be worthy of a compliment and that's why he took on the name Luciel n the first place. But, if he can get a superficial compliment now and again, that might be enough to keep him going.

It might seem superficial to most people, but a compliment is a compliment and when you have never received a compliment before in an earnest way... Well, sometimes you start looking for it in any place you can get it. More than anything, he wants to be praised because deep down, everybody wants to be praised for something. Even people who are more confident than others want to hear that they did a good job or that they look good in that outfit they're wearing.

I don't think I even need to jump into what the compliments mean for him in terms of gender validation as well. Because, if the agency ever did one good thing for him, it was allowing him to realize that his identity was far more fluid than it appeared to be on the surface. Even though he's only able to play a feminine role on missions, the tingle he feels in his chest whenever somebody says "she" is enough to give him euphoria for a month.

ok admittedly i only know very little abt general honkai lore (like surface level outsider pov) but i know abt these two HOMOSEXUALS bc a whole tiktok with leaks showed up on my fyp

i got my sources from tiktok so DO NOT TRUST ME ‼️

but basically, what i THINK i know is that blade and dan heng used to be lovers. like, actual canonical lovers. i don’t remember where i read it from, but i think they used to be in the cloud knights together ?? dan heng had a pair of bracers that only the best vidyadharan craftsmen made for himself and blade (he still wears his) ++ he and blade also used to drink together and gaze at the moon (???? gay.)

blade wanted to reciprocate with a gift of his own — a HAND-MADE jade flask — but then smth happened and i guess dan heng disappeared?? and blade realised “that everything he relied on to walk this earth - this body, this life, this love and hatred, and even this set of clothes - were just loaned items”. also there was a mention where he said he longed for dan heng so. take that as u will.

apparently since then, they’ve been repeating a cycle of blade chasing dan heng down and dan heng having to kill him. it’s implied that the reason blade appears in dan heng’s dreams is bc dan heng is still wearing the dragon bracer, and it has some sort of telepathic charm on it. i think someone also mentioned that dan heng is also banned from the xianzhou alliance after he ‘accidentally’ made blade immortal ??? again, my sources are not reliable, lmao.
