“Let me make this clear: I don’t like you.”
@darkiturn
hyliahealme:
“I-I don’t see why not, Mistah Va-tay,” Jacklyn blinked, suddenly feeling very meekish about just blurting out something that had to be very personal, “after all, I’m just a simple farm girl. Nothin’ special ‘bout little ol’ me.”
“Did… did ya’ll say demon?” That also perked Jackie’s interest. She had never seen one herself, but she had read all sorts of stories about demons and how, well… ugly they looked. Vaati didn’t seem to be anything at all like the demons in the story books; her granpappy also said that there wasn’t a thing as demons any more. She didn’t really know what to believe, other than the individual in front of her had to be someone very very powerful and important. Then the thought registered in her brain; what if he could help her? Grant her a wish…?
“Are… are ya’ll a powerful demon?”
I actually don’t care about you. If there were a small voice inside him whispering to keep his mouth shut, Vaati begrudgingly followed it. Even as she butchered his name. Though that drew out something of a displeased look, to say the least.
“Yes. My magic cannot be matched. And as much as I want to showcase a grand spectacle of my abilities, I’m content remaining unnoticed by certain individuals below the clouds. Hence,” and he added three small breezes to hit her with a point of his finger to make this point, ”don’t make me angry.” Wrecking homes or unnatural storms would ruin it quickly. As long as Jacklyn took a walk around the palace, she’d see signs of his superiority. (Like a floating palace wasn’t enough.)
hyliahealme:
“A-are we up in the sky?” Jackie jumped at the idea; how did something like this exist? It had to be magic, like she had always read about in her books!
Then it occurred to her. Vaati. She had read about a wind mage named Vaati in her books, but he was ancient! Before even the Hyrulean Civil War and the Hero of Time! How could he be here?
“It’s, uh… a pleasure t’ meet ya’ll,” Jackie began to introduce herself, “My name ‘s Jacklyn Dove Baker,” she paused to consider her next words carefully, before simply blurting out, “how are you alive?”
So is this girl simply not registering that she’s been kidnapped, or is her head filled with delusions of grandeur. Sure, Vaati could be a prince, but not like the any from the kingdoms below vying for a princess and seeking the spectacular blessings for their kingdom. No. Goddesses no. He had no plans masquerading as a royal again.
“Jacklyn Dove Baker,” he repeated, staring and dumbfound. “Yes... We are in the sky.”
Had enough detrimental damage occurred from the last reign of terror for a lasting impression below the clouds? As one that’s been lost to history more times than he cares to admit, Vaati perked up hearing his own existence. “I have read in a recent text where Hylians called me an immortal demon- among a few other names. You can thank former princesses and moronic heroes for finding a way to seal and preserve me. But forget about asking my age, as even I’m unaware.” He brushed a hand through his hair where long, silken locks spilled through his fingers. “Though I’m content keeping this fanciable form.”
“Shall we keep talking about me?” he teased.
hyliahealme:
Jackie blinked in surprise; was she lost before? She didn’t think she was, she was just taking a nice stroll around the outside of the village… but she didn’t have time to argue semantics! She had to get back home before anyone else woke up and got worried about her!
“I-I appreciate the offer, sir, but I don’t think I can stay here with ya’ll,” she began politely, “but I really must get back home ‘fore Pa an’ everyone gets worried ‘bout me! We’re not too far away from Ordon Village, are we?”
She could only hope they were close by. Then a part of her perked its head up and added to the thought that maybe they were far away, that some prince had come and taken her away to his castle, far away from Ordon. This stranger did certainly look regal, with all of his purples and very nice looking long hair. Surely he was someone important!
[🌪] Vaati blinked, connecting the reality of the situation to the girl’s ridiculous assumption. Actually, he laughed. Not a terrible first impression, but not a promising one either. She’d learn.
“No. I’m afraid you’re hopelessly mistaken.” With a brisk wave, the window opened to allow more of the sky breeze to enter the room. Clouds drifting lazily by at a closer range than what any building on the surface could afford. “We’re somewhere over Eldin Providence at this time. I hate the cold, and the air is always warmer on this side of Hyrule.”
May as well spell the rest of it out for her. Busily playing with a stand of his own hair, he ran over the major factors of her stay. “I’m the sorcerer, Vaati. Pleasure to formally introduce myself. You and I are the only two in the palace, and you’re my gracious guest until I find a desire to return you back to Ordon or encase you in stone. Depending on your actions and my mood, of course.”
sagesseprincesse:
It seemed no matter what Sheik said, nothing would stop Vaati from whatever it was he was thinking of doing. And that bothered him. A lot. Whatever. It was best not to worry - as long as Ganondorf didn’t catch wind of his newest rival for the princess, things should progress naturally as the sages’ planned. Most importantly, Zelda needed to remain under wraps. Perhaps it was best not to poke the subject with Vaati further.
“Perhaps I will. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious over your home.” And many other things.
Honestly, the idea of marrying Vaati left a sour taste in his mouth. Sheik couldn’t stop from focusing on that subject, wondering just how horrid it would turn out. Marriage wasn’t something that interested him to begin with. Scarlet eyes glanced over to the Four Sword, wondering if it was worth attempting to reestablish the seal that once held Vaati, or to see how this new element to a dark future responded.
He decided the latter. At least he knew the being’s weakness. “Hyrule has, indeed, changed. How long were you trapped?”
[🌪] Stretching and twisting had Vaait enjoying the sensation of movement once again. There hadn’t been a chance when attacking Sheik, and the familiar burn of his muscles pulling brought a deep satisfaction. And all the things denied over the years came drifting through his mind. Eating. Sleeping. Feeling his hair brushed. Taking his sandals off. A bath. Basic things, but he’ll be thrilled to enjoy them while regaining his strength. Once the palace was found anyway.
He huffed having to be forced from his daydreaming and glanced around the pitiful shrine. “Since you fail to know, I assume at least nine centuries. I can’t even recall a shrine of this sort existing before I was trapped, but everything is overgrown, broken, and frankly, needs a dusting.” A guiding wind brushed away a layer of dust.
The lingering doubts of how long his sentence had actually been continued to grow. His frown only deepened the more he tried to make an actual judgement, but he turned away from the sword in repulsion. Who even cared.
Waving for Sheik to follow, he all but barked at his companion. “Come on. You can fill me in on events as we walk. I want to find the nearest village.”
Seeing someone reply after 84 years.
My mood has taken another drop. Right now, I’m not sure when I’ll be in the mood to rp. At least in the Zelda rpc.

bransles:
THE SCRUTINY AS HE PLAYED didn’t go unnoticed, though it was something he was perfectly used to. fingers continued to slide along the neck of the instrument, idle still as if he were alone. it was when foreign words slipped quietly from vaati’s mouth that nearly caused him pause. half - lidded eyes opened and brows furrowed, trying to figure out what that was.
“yes, that’s it,” he answered, voice lilting in slight surprise, “i had come across a collection of older pieces through history — although it’s hardly a bolero without any drums.”
not that the lack of drums was what was important right then.
“you’re familiar with it?”
So that was it. Vaati moved back, at least somewhat satisfied that his memory had served him, though now with a slight headache. Hyrule had a affinity for music, played by instrument or box. There were likely some sheet music in his archives he had requested one of his own prisoners to perform at one time or another. Making distance with the musician, he stretched out along the sofa.
“I would say yes, but how escapes me. I believe there’s a composition of it within my library.” Actually, that were probably so. There was a phase he went through collecting information in regards to the wind waker. ...stupid little baton.
He hoped Octavo didn’t think him too interested in the performance- even if he did enjoy the nostalgia and wanted to hear more pieces. Waving along, Vaati made a subtle demand. “...continue.”

The thing about picori, hylian, reborn, and wrath forms is that they may all be Vaati, but... each act slightly different~
█ ▌ @tailoringtay - 2. How do you take your anger out? 10. What was the scariest moment you’ve had in public? 18. What gives you nostalgia? personal questions
2. How do you take your anger out?
“How else? My wrath tends to stir storms of tornados, lightning, and darkness. I tend to warn those not to test me, but they underestimate how much I can do.”
10. What was the scariest moment you’ve had in public?
“That I’ve had or caused? I do well to stay out of a crowd until I desire otherwise. I did panic one time when a child carried a replica of the Four Sword. Needless to say, I handled the situation well~”
18. What gives you nostalgia?
“Little things from the past that I may have had connections to in some way or another. Fragments of memories are all I have. With mementoes I find, there’s something there I can hold on to, even if I forget again.”
█ ▌ @telesthisia - Ohohoho!!!! What’s the relationship like between you and your parents? personal questions
“I don’t recall. I’ve shared my loss of memory with you, Princess. Who they were or where I was born escapes me. If your idea was an attempt to locate them as assistance with my amnesia, then sorry. I don’t believe family is important at this point.”
█ ▌ anon - What’s some trauma you have and how did you get it? personal questions
Trauma he actually has and which he would admit are vastly different. A void. Betrayal. The scars on his body...
“Hylians are ignorant of the repercussions from their actions. They can’t comprehend darkness without the moon. An endless black night where there is no light. No wind. Nothing but anger to keep one from insanity. I don’t want pity, but death is far more appealing.”
