I was thinking about fanfiction and how I like to use it to practice my ability to write. I am working on many original fiction books that I doubt will ever actually be published or shown outside my group of friends but it got me wondering how many people do the same and how many write fanfiction without the intent to ever write an original fiction, published or not. So I thought I’d ask!

Love love love this fic. It’s only one chapter long but it’s a wonderfully long one.

It’s a time loop style story and has my absolutely favorite type of ending. I won’t spoil it but it’s all sorts of my jam.

One chapter long and complete, I highly recommend this fic.

What course would you advise, Commander Galadriel?

I’m really loving this fic. I’m always a sucker for AUs where orcs get expanded on and even more when they get some semblance of normalcy. A story about what if Sauron actually chilled out for just a second and found a little orc buddy to help him build instead of destroy, I’m only on ch 14 of this ongoing fic but it has such a sweet heart to it that I’m in love.

16 out of a projected 17 chapters are out now, I highly recommend it.

I would also be remiss not to recommend this fic. Which is one of my favorite that I’ve read in the fandom so far.

*slaps the roof of the fic* this baby can fit all sorts of things in here. You want excellent writing and deep angst? Oh buddy, we got that. You want a tragic and emotionally complex rated-M for mature relationship? Boy howdy you got it here. You want a redemption arc that makes you wonder if he’s actually redeemed in one of the most honest looks at that sort of personality I’ve ever seen out to a page. hell yeah, in spades.

Completed and 43 chapters long. This author is quickly becoming one that I read everything they write.

Was reading this fic last night and loved it. The writing is completely engaging. Got up to chapter 8 before having to turn in for the night. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for an excellent Sauron / Marion redemption in Valinor story. Unless it changes into a completely different kind of story after chapter 7 and I have been deceived! With 66 chapters written so far, I’m excited to find out.
