Before "queer platonic relationship", british people invented the term "best mates". It is commonly used by british band guys to describe their complicated relationship with their bandmates, here's an example:
"yeah this me bandmate we're really close like we've made out a couple of times and we write songs together, not to mention all my songs are about him and I hate him but I love him with my life and yeah of course he's my best mate"
and I kinda wanna add nicky and richey as an honorable mention because I showed my friend the music video of you love us today and he was like are they together. Duuuude use your brain can't you see they are best mates💀
