hello everyone, i’m sloane <3

i’m 28. pronouns she/her.

i’m new here, sort of. i’ve been away from the witchy/pagan tumblr scene for quite a while, and i’m starting out with norse paganism/heathenry for the first time. this new journey and a few other life events have prompted me to retire my original and insanely cluttered blog so i can be more focused with my goals and intentions both online and irl.

as such, i’m looking for new friends! if you’re interested in following me, my main intention for this blog is to be a journal and grimoire of sorts. i hope to move past the only-posting-pretty-photos phase here soon.

i intend to explore:

working with odin, freya, and possibly others

divination. i have experience with tarot but the runes are all new

crafting, such as jewelry making, sewing, embroidery and crochet. i apologize in advance for any crafting atrocities you may witness.

cooking. thus kitchen, home and family based worship and witchery

book posts, both pagan research and regular

extremely limited fan related content. ghibli, wonder woman, w.i.t.c.h. and other girl-power media from my childhood. things like that.

i want to be asked to come over and help put my friend’s kids to bed as casually as they might text their spouse and ask them to pick up milk on the way home

i want to stop and pick up milk for another friend because i know their spouse hates the grocery store

i want to buy fruit that i dont like because it’s on special and i know people who do

i want to pass lemons over the fence and to take my neighbours bins out when the forget

i want group chats instead of rideshare apps, calls in the middle of the night because someone’s at the hospital, lonely or hungry or both

i want to do the dishes in other people’s houses, extra servings wrapped in tinfoil and tea towels so it’s still warm when you drop it off, a basket of other people’s mending by my couch

i want to be surrounded by reminders that ‘imposing’ on each other is what we were born to do

so happy for everything taika waititi’s doing for queer, Polynesian, and jewish rep and I think his work is amazing but as soon as one of his projects disappoints anyone slightly all this weird idolization is going to be such a god awful wreck

Lin-manuel miranda went from being worshipped and carrying a lot of poc rep to pretty insane backlash, which justified or not (a mix of both) was definitely overblown because of the culture of worship and the pedestal some of u put him on
