I was really unsure about what to write today. So many of you guys have already come out with important points and I thank every one of you that helped me stay motivated in this boycott and protest. I miss my little fishie a lot, but that gave me an idea for what I could post.  This protest and boycott is about so much more than just being angry about the Valko-situation.  It is about trust, fairness and all of the LIs. There are already a few haters that started protesting for Xavier's removal too. While I think some of the jokes are funny, like the examples of why other LIs would be redflags, I absolutely do NOT condone hatred towards them. It is either 6 or none.  The devs, VAs, story writers all worked so hard for all characters. A group of little haters should not be the reason you stab all your artists in the back.  Art should be protected and if you own a company that heavily and solely relies on art, you should stand up for your artists.  As a Raf main, I feel like Rafayel would be enraged and disgusted by the way the company but especially the haters have treated artists.  In the end, it is a video game. An otome game at that. While it is made with you in mind, it is most definitely not made FOR you. So you either enjoy the game the developers make and “ignore” characters you do not vibe with. But you do not get to sit here and act like a spoiled child because “the mean online-bf company made someone who I do not like!”

I've been glad to hear good news about Valko. Many fans started donating their money for good cause. There was a star named after him, then there was a whole lot of animal shelters receiving donations in hopes of saving Valko. If not in game, at least he exist somewhere else. There has been a huge debunking that CN makes more revenue for Infold, while these things are happening on the Global side, meaning that our voices mattered just as much.

I'll have you know that I cried as I typed this. I wish I can help supporting good cause, but I live in a monetarily fucked up country and the least I can do is by supporting local artists. My heart goes to you, DeepSpace Hunters, and your efforts to show that love is stronger than hate.

This time i tried to channel the researcher aspect of Valko

First of all, I’m sorry to the few people who follow me for Nikki photography content.

As an infold games long time player and a Love and Deepspace player, i just can’t stay silent at the current situation, even if my reach is extremely small.

I have been playing as a Sylus main, and i adore all the characters, each in their own way but mostly appreciate greatly the story. But for Valko, it was love at first sight. I couldn’t wait to have him in game and have a real « main » experience. So the news of his cancellation was heartbreaking for me.

Like everyone else, i first blamed infold for folding to a noisy minority of players. But after following the situation on social media, i realised it was a lot more complicated than a few haters, and i feel like a lot of players dont realise this.

To be honest, I believe this goes beyond Valko's situation. From rumours, rival companies may be working on a smearing campaign against PaperGames to crush the competition for their own games targeted at women. At first it looked like a theory but it's getting real now.

Infold silence might be due to the legal actions taken to protect their company.

We must keep showing our love for Valko and LADS!

This is a tiny gesture, but i wanted to share some love for Valko. I made these inspired styling the day of Valko’s announcement and was holding back to make pictures with everything going on, but i think it’s even more important now to show how much an impact the character made in our heart 🩷

No because what the actual fuck was that decision?

You mean to tell me months—if not YEARS—of development. …and your solution was to throw the ENTIRE SIXTH LOVE INTEREST into the trash?

ARE YOU SERIOUS?

I'm not saying people shouldn't have been angry about the 731 reference. They absolutely had every right to be. Unit 731 is one of the darkest chapters in history and if that reference was made carelessly, then yes, people deserved an apology and an explanation.

But explain to me how Valko became the sacrificial lamb here.

Who exactly does this help? The people who were hurt by the reference? They still deserve accountability.

The people who were excited for Valko? Congratulations, you just told them to go fuck themselves.

The developers who spent who knows how long creating an entirely new LI? Their work gets deleted overnight.

So what was the goal here?

Because this doesn't feel like taking responsibility. It feels like corporate damage control.

Fix the story.

Rewrite the chapter.

Delete the offending reference.

Delay the release.

Fire whoever thought using 731 and 611 was acceptable if you have to.

But deleting an ENTIRE CHARACTER because of a mistake in ONE PART OF THE GAME is such an absurd overreaction that I genuinely can't wrap my head around it. I'm just so unbelievably disappointed. because Infold's response was somehow even worse than the original mistake.

We lost a character.

The developers lost their work.

The fandom lost something people had been excited about. What an absolute fucking waste.

The funny thing about playing 20 different dressup games at once is that I'll be brainstorming outfits while driving, in the shower, cooking, etc. And I'll think "hey that one top will go great with that one skirt. How come I didn't think of it before?" And then realizing I didn't make this combo while playing the game is because the two articles of clothing I'm thinking about are from TWO COMPLETELY SEPARATE GAMES
