I have a decal tool, a name tag, and a description tag and I must use them wisely -- I need the best Conscientious Objector this side of the Mississippi

yes a lot of them are House because that was my first idea (more mouse bites!1!)

There's a project that I want to start called

The Story of Team Fortress

where I try to stay as true to the actual lore as possible and filter out all the silly dumb stuff that Hale added to make it marketable

It'll include a redraw of the comics! It's overall a really cool idea to me and I think it'll be fun :D

Pyro (i have no idea what this dude has going on at all, so he's going in the middle)

SO.

Buckle up because this is gonna get very... very. I'm gonna go through different answers to this question and talk about each of them!

You might say "Just look at him, of course he doesn't," but that's kinda glossing over a few things. I mean, we see him brush his teeth. He may be a grimy man, but he does take minimal effort to take care of himself. And hey, long toenails can get annoying. Who's to say he doesn't get tired of them snagging on his sheets and clip 'em?

I also want to say that the name of the cosmetic that removes his hat is called Ritzy Rick's Hair Fixative. He puts product in his hair. He wears a hat all day and probably doesn't shower all that often, and I can say from personal experience that that slicks your hair back pretty well on its own. Why does he bother with it? Maybe he does shower and doesn't have greasy enough hair that would slick itself back. Or maybe he really doesn't shower but still puts in the effort to keep his hair back. Either way, he puts effort into how he looks, whether people see it under his hat or not. Maybe he's the same way about his feet.

The one real reason this is even a topic of discussion is because Demo, when going with Pauling into Sniper's parents' house, claimed they'd find Sniper's toenail clipping around the place.

Did Demo mention it because he knows Sniper's the type to do that? Or did he just say it because he thinks Sniper's gross and wanted to say something gross he thinks he'd do? Maybe Demo saw Sniper leave his toenail clippings somewhere once and still holds it against him. Maybe that was the one time Sniper actually trimmed his toenails at all and he happened to get caught being grimy about it. Maybe Sniper never trims his toenails and Demo is just making it all up!

Or maybe Demo's speaking from a place of truth. To get a bit meta about it, why would Valve have Demo mention Sniper's toenails if it's just nothing? I feel like they didn't have something as convoluted as what I've described above in mind when they wrote the toenail comment into the comics. I think Demo knows Sniper clips his toenails.
