((Heya guys! I apologize for this, but I have made the decision to drop Cynthia. Finals are approaching, and having drafts to do causes more stress than relief.. no matter how fun they are! I may be back eventually, but I feel like I wouldn't be very active for a while if I did stay. So, I think it's fair to give Cynthia up for the time being.

Other than that, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your group! You're all so much fun, whether I rp'd with you or not. I hope you all have fun, and good luck with the rest of the year!))

Hearing Cynthia’s request, Gerome stood still a moment longer. He held in a sigh. Of course he would much rather be alone, but… Something about the girl’s enthusiasm made it difficult for him to refuse. That or he felt a bit guilty for accusing her and her pegasus so quickly. Either way.

"I suppose nothing is stopping us from making the visit together… Except," he paused, turning to face Cynthia once more. "Let us search for your pegasus first." He made his suggestion, hoping she would take it. She may not have known whether her steed was missing or not, but locating it seemed like the right thing to do.

"It’s safety is much more important right now, anyway…"

Cynthia gave it a moment of thought. Her pegasus's safety....

"Ahh.. you know, you're right. I'd hate for something horrible to happen to her. Like REALLY horrible. Dangerous situations where she ended up injured or stolen..." She tugged on her own hair using one hand, almost dropping her basket full of flowers, her mind filled with with uneasiness. "Uwaaagh, I'd let so many people down! I'd feel so bad!"

Gerome had a good point, and she hadn't really realized it until now. Her pegasus could possibly be in danger. This was certainly a worrying development, and now she was more than motivated to get going. On the bright side, she had a good companion to travel with—if he didn't try to abandon her like usual. But Cynthia would make sure that wouldn't happen until the deed was done at least!

The pegasus knight took in a deep breath, then flashed a smile at Gerome despite her worries. Now wasn't the time to freak out.

"But we'll find my pegasus. You and me, Gerome! Let's get a move on!"

"A small waterfall would definitely be handy, but you’re right… It’d be pretty mean to make your pegasus fly around looking for one right now, especially the way she is," Morgan agreed with a thoughtful nod. Cynthia’s idea had been good, but as the two of them deduced—it was hardly the best course of action. They would just have to go to the effort of giving her mount a bath at the camp.

He watched for a while as the pegasus knight busied herself with gathering supplies for their task. It was a relief when she called out for him—he hated feeling useless when there was activity afoot.

"Got it!" He called back before approaching the pegasus, smiling as he reached over to take her unstrung reins. "Hello, pretty peggy! You’d sure like a bath, wouldn’t you?" The tactician paused in the middle of coddling her. He whimpered and held his nose with one hand as he led her to a nearby grazing post.

"… You need one, whether you want one or not," he informed her nasally and scratched his head. He made a note of reminding Cynthia to take care of her partner more often. It would be troublesome for everyone if they went into battle and got distracted by the pegasus’ odour.

"When we're done with her, she's going to be the most dazzling pegasus around!" Cynthia called out as she filled a bucket with water and shampoo. Then with a short grunt, she lifted it off the ground, hauling it back to Morgan and her steed. The bucket made a dull thud after hitting the ground and Cynthia put her hands on her hips, turning and looking up at her friend with high hopes.

"So, you wanted to learn how to bathe a pegasus, eh? You'll need this!" A sponge was aimlessly tossed towards Morgan, but it was a short enough throw so that she knew he could catch it. "First," Holding a finger up, she began, "you're gonna soak that sponge in the bucket and then rub it all over the coat of my pegasus. It's got soap and water and all that good stuff, so it'll be sure to leave her squeaky clean at the end!"

Cynthia figured that this would be a good opportunity to teach Morgan a new skill. Maybe if he did decide to be a pegasus knight one day, he'd already know how to clean a pegasus! Even then, if he didn't, he could still help her every now and then. It could be more fun that way! Maybe she'd actually be motivated to do it more often!

"...oh! But avoid her head. It would be bad if she got soapy water in her eyes." She walked over to the supplies laying close by and picked up a rubber comb, which she then used to clean off some dirt.

"Are you making up stupid catchphrases again?" Severa couldn't help but bother the girl every now and then, out of boredom. Might as well entertain herself for a little while.

Cynthia stopped in the middle of what she was doing, which was in fact acting out her catchphrases. “They’re not stupid, they’re totally awesome! You wouldn’t get it though.” Putting her hands on her hips, she huffed.

"What do you want, anyways?"

"What?" Severa couldn’t believe that someone would actually join her in making up pathetic catchphrases. Knowing Morgan however… That child got excited about everything, so she wasn’t surprised. 

"People would only use them because they pity you. They don’t want to hurt your feelings, that’s all." She sighed in annoyance. "Don’t get excited just because one weak soul gave in to you."

"N..no way…" Cynthia fretted. So, if what Severa was saying was true, then all this time… they were just pitying her all along? The thought was creeping through her mind, starting to bother her a little.

"Is that really what they think of me? All of them? Every single one of them…?" It couldn’t be completely true… after all, she considered a lot of them her friends.

"Cynthia, I did it! I came up with a great, heroic name for myself!" Morgan grinned and recounted breathlessly as he ran towards the pegasus knight, already calling out to her despite the distance between them. "How does 'Dragonborn' sound? It's really cool, isn't it?! It's so cool! The Dragonborn has arrived upon the battlefield--despair, evildoers!"

Hearing Morgan from a distance, she turned towards him, immediately sensing his excitement. “Dragon..born!? Wooahh, it’s bursting with cool! Nice one!”

Cynthia eagerly gave him two thumbs up, switching to a wide array of arm movements. “The dragon-part sounds intimidating, and the born-part adds to the identity effect! The unyielding power of the Dragonborn will mystify while preparing ye to your deathbed! His ceaseless knowledge knows no bounds! Forever unbroken (…unlike your bones)!”

"That sounds perfect! I knew telling you was a good plan!” Morgan grinned and bounced on the spot. “All I need to do now is grow bigger, buy a suit of armour, come up with a signature move, and ask Tharja to turn me into a dragon! This is going to be amazing!”

"You know what? It would look even MORE amazing with a mask of some sort. Something shrouding you in mystery, something heroic… kinda like Gerome’s. A mask plus a really cool pose… now just imagine that combination!

Severa was pretty sure that no one in the army thought her catchphrases were awesome, but no one had the guts to tell her how much she looked like a loser. She was only doing Cynthia a favor this way.

"I’m here to stop you from yelling like a maniac, of course. You’re going to scare everyone away like this."

Cynthia wasn't going to give in so easily.

"You're wrong! See, just the other day, Morgan joined me in my catchphrase-extravaganza. If anything, they are so catchy that they'll spread throughout the entire camp!" Cynthia spread her arms out wide.

Then she continued, immersed in the idea. She wasn't going to let Severa stop her. "And.. and then. Everyone will be using them except for you, because you're a super villain and villains don't get hero catchphrases. You'll have nothing to do but disappear into the mountains and play with your hair all day."

"Ahem." Gerome cleared his throat, hoping to catch Cynthia's attention. "Minerva had significantly less food in storage this morning..." he folded his arms. "That pegasus of yours would not be the one to blame, would it?"

"Oh, hey Gerome! You came to see me!" Cynthia beamed at the sound of her friend’s voice, only to realize that it was not for a good reason. "I don’t know what you’re talking about! I haven’t been with my pegasus since—"

"—ohh! That’s right. I think I forgot to tie her up. I may have completely forgotten about her too…" Rubbing the back of her head, she tried to sound innocent. "But that doesn’t prove it was her, right? Could’ve been something else! Like a really clever bear."

Unbelievable. What was first anger morphed into some form of pity. Not for Cynthia, but more so her pegasus. Had she really forgotten about her so easily? For how long? When was the last time the animal had eaten? It would explain why it might have gone for Minerva’s feed instead.

He cleared his throat. “…You know, I think I made a mistake. Come to think if it I may have seen another pegasus in the area… I will talk with your mother on the matter instead.” He turned his head away, thinking he had made a nice save on the supposed ‘mix up.’ Perhaps he would even go see if her pegasus was still hungry himself.

"You really think so, Gerome?"

Amazing! There were other pegasi besides her own running around, causing mishap and mayhem? The pegasus knight was entertained by the idea.

On the other hand, however nice that idea seemed, she still had to face the facts. Cynthia felt somewhat ashamed after realizing it, but she and her pegasus was very blameable. It was probably because she was always so occupied with other things that she would accidentally leave her steed unattended to, causing it to seek out food and get into all sorts of trouble… No wonder Gerome suspected her at first! She'd still forgive him for that though.

"Ah, but that's okay! We get blamed all the time, so it's no big deal."

"Oh! And if you're going to see Mother, can I come with you? I've gathered a bunch of flowers for later." The girl revealed a colorful basket filled to the brim with the fruits of her labor.

"...and maybe I could even find my pegasus." she added in a hopeful tone. That is, if her pegasus was even lost to begin with. She wasn't quite sure at this point.

"That’s a relief. Take care, okay? We don’t want you falling over and seriously hurting yourself!" He called out to the pegasus knight as she ran off before Morgan could even check to see if Cynthia hadn’t missed anything. It was easy to overlook an injury whilst wearing armour. Being the one who insisted on her haste, it fell upon him to make sure she would at least remained uninjured. But, knowing her, she would be fine—her energy and enthusiasm rivaled his own, after all.

'Swift as a beetle' for sure! Morgan waved and jumped on the spot a few times when he saw her hurrying back in the distance. From a distance, the pegasus looked fine, but as the pair came closer, it was obvious to see she needed a good grooming. Even so, her rugged appearance made her look as though she had just emerged victorious from a long battle. She was no less magnificent this way, than she would be if she were spotless.

"Wow, you two sure have been working hard!" The tactician stared up at the mount as he took one of the brushes from Cynthia with a smile. Now he really wanted to learn to be a pegasus knight. However, before that, there were more pressing matters to attend to. “But you know—shouldn’t we give her a bath first? She looks like she could use a good scrubbing, then a nice brushing! II’d love to help—I’ve never groomed a pegasus before!”

"Oh horsefeathers, you're right I was so focused on the goal that I completely overlooked that!" She lightly smacked herself on the head with her palm. Of course! How thoughtless of her! In all truth, the thought of tidying things up rarely crossed her mind. Her pegasus and her own belongings were left out of the picture—even her own personal hygiene was neglected on occasion. Still, it was a good thing she had been reminded of it, so she was thankful that Morgan had mentioned it.

Turning towards Morgan and letting go of her little slip up, she returned his smile. "Thanks for reminding me. But now that means we get to bathe her! You can definitely help me with that one. We can do it together—I can show you how and everything! I'll get a sponge and a bucket and a rag and everything else..."

"...unless we bathe her under a tiny waterfall or something. I've always wondered how effective that would be. It's probably way faster, no doubt. But it's the warmest part of the day, so... "

"...nevermind that idea!" All this was said while Cynthia was strutting to and fro, gathering some items for bathing. Since Morgan seemed pretty enthusiastic about this pegasus business, it made her feel pretty delighted and eager to get started. Everything was nearly set up when she called for her friend. "Hey! While I have my hands full, do you wanna tie her up so we can get started?"

With a smile, Morgan pondered his own future as his friend did the same. He only had a vague past to work with, but it was enough for him to know that his mother was incredible. All the children were striving towards a better future, and with their parents by their sides, they would surely achieve it. The tactician had little to say about his own talents, but if there was anything Morgan had to be proud of—it was that he was his mother’s son.

Suddenly, Cynthia came to a realisation which made made Morgan jump. That was right—they were going to show off her pegasus to Walhart! "Right, let’s go!" He exclaimed and prepared to follow her lead, determined to keep up with her this time, when—

"Cynthia! Are you alright?!" He hurried to the girl’s side and helped her back onto her feet. … What on earth had she tripped on? He scrutinised the ground, but found no obstacles. Had she tripped on her own feet? Was it her shoes or her motor functions? If it was the latter, then… Before anyone could stop him, Morgan wound up in his own head again. Thankfully, it only took him a few seconds to snap back to his senses as he looked over the young knight. “You didn’t hurt yourself did you?”

"Ugh.. ugh! Not again!"

With Morgan's help, she rose to her feet and she straightened out her armor. "I'm completely fine. No injuries here! Just annoyance at my dumb legs, but that can always be fixed... anyways, that doesn't matter right now."

She shook it out, the determination showing on her face one more as she focused on the task at hand. "Alright, I'll be as swift as a beetle! Not one second slower!" the girl declared, pointing towards her destination.

Without another word, she hurried off to retrieve her pegasus for Morgan. It didn't take very long for her to come back, directing her steed towards him by a worn out bridle. Its appearance was unkempt; it might have been worse than Cynthia described earlier, for its mane was filled with snarls, layers of filth lined its down feathers, and plumage stuck out all over. Despite its appearance however, the pegasus seemed physically healthy. It was well-fed with strong wings and working legs.

"Here she is! I brought the brushes too."

"Oh? That means there were swarms of ladies, all the way through town. But anyways! Find anything good over there? Do anything exciting, like take down a formidable foe with quick wit?"

"Ah, I was able to find some lovely sweet shops that you might like?" Inigo laughed at her questions. "No, no. All I did was take a stroll. You could accompany me on my next one, if you’d like. And you, my sweet?"

"I’ve been practicing and practicing.. phew. A hero’s work is never done! Even when she—or he—takes strolls with friends." She wiped her brow while exhaling, although her tone was still light and bubbly.

"You said something about sweet shops? I like the sound of that! Though honestly, my stomach’s already bursting from cake. Maybe if we go to town, the girls will give me gifts, and maybe they’ll give some to you too! So... whenever you wanna go to town, just say the word!"

"I’m not slow—I was only thinking of a way that I could use your speed and strength to defeat our opponents! If this was the battlefield, I would have realised in time to only get nicked in the back, not stabbed!" Morgan exclaimed whilst completely ignoring the flaw in his moments of contemplation. Cynthia was undoubtedly right, but such a thing had never happened to him yet, so he had no reason to worry about it—was how his mind worked.

He smiled with misplaced pride as he puffed out his chest and placed his hands on his hips. ”Besides, I plan on becoming as skilled a tactician as Mother someday. She’s capable of coming up with strategies as flexible as the flow of any battle. It’s just… Hard to fight and come up with a plan at the same time. It’s like how you want to live up to the name of your mother being a great Pegasus Knight—I want to do the same,” he said with a smile, seemingly placated after moving onto the topic of their mothers. It was then that he finally took a moment to stop and think.

"Hm? … What were we doing here again? I could have sworn we came here for some reason. Do you remember what it was?"

"Living up to Mother, you say.."

Undoubtedly, Cynthia lived to become as strong as her mother, a brave and remarkable knight, as the legends said. She believed that maybe she could even strive to be way stronger if she tried. Definitely a hard task! It was amazing how Morgan wanted to accomplish the same goal, with his own mother! They were alike in that way, like a lot of the kids from their generation.

A pause happened, then a realization, and she nearly fell out of her boots.

"Oh! Right! We were going to show off—I mean, show him my pegasus! Let me get her, right away!" she blundered, turning a sharp heel. Cynthia was on the move! ...except she had taken all but two steps when she carelessly face-planted onto the soil. It was all but graceful. Feeling slightly embarrassed, she uttered a tiny whine.

...Just like her mother, huh...

((Short Hiatus!))

((Cynthia's working hard for exams! I'm gonna be back around Thursday, hopefully. If not that, then the weekend, but I'll be a bit slow until then. Have fun, everyone!))

"You cold, Laurent? I got something that will warm you up!" A voice rang from up above. Riding upon her pegasus, Cynthia swooped down and leapt off from it before reaching the ground. "HWAH!" She barely caught herself when she landed on her feet, her palm pushing against the ground and actually sticking the landing. Immediately afterwards—an explosion of red smoke! However, that was enough to make her lose her balance, and she clumsily fell onto her face.

"Hm?" Laurent turned his head, only to be met by the rather pompous puff of red smoke. He’d been deep in concentration, peering through a tome as he walked, and not even the sound of Cynthia’s voice had stirred him. In fact, it was the red dye that had begun to waft towards his direction that had caused him to ponder his surroundings. 

"What the…?" As the scarlet tint began to clear from the air, the fallen Pegasus Knight quickly became visible. 

"My word, what a surprise. I hadn’t realized there was a sentient being concealed within all that vapor! Is it even feasible to breathe within a cloud so thick? …No matter. Hello, Cynthia."

"I...m.s...pf..."

"I.......muffss..ed upf..." Cynthia mumbled dejectedly, her face filled with grass. She messed up. Not bothering to move from her position for a moment, she felt utterly ashamed at her display just then. After all that practice, the pegasus training, the red smoke making, just to fall on her face. She needed to improve on this move.  Next time, longer morning practice... she thought to herself.

Lifting her head from the ground, she saw Laurent approaching her steadily. Cynthia instantly demanded, "Pretend you didn't see anything!" and sprung upwards, getting back onto her two feet.
