Same. It started with Nixon ('68-'74)...and by the time I was 21 (1980) and Reagan happened, it was already a pipe dream anymore. The most I coulda looked forward to was $8,000/year. I'd say the "Dream" for lower-middle-class and lower-class was over and completely buried by 1980.
