FULL BLOOM

Last May 10, 2014 was the very first Candy Reader's Choice Awards held at the Rockwell Tent, Makati. There were lots of cute artists to die for and my fave was Enrique Gil (ok im dying). I wasn't at the event just to be an attendee, but I came to work. Although, I thought I would be one at first. So yeah, you read it just right, I worked, and of course, I got paid. That was probably my first job, ever! And getting paid through the work I've done during the event made me feel -even more- productive than the usual - I hadn't even realized that I'll be working earlier than this. Me and my team represented Whisper through their booth, and that exactly made us so tensed that we were all wishing to be precisely like the others, to be an attendee - representing a local brand plus, entertaining all the Candy girls who drops by our booth? Oh god, one mistake would ruin not only us, but the brand itself. And none of us wished for that to happen, that's why we were definitely challenged not to crack up the booth, but in the end, we nailed our job. And on the brighter side, apart from having our salary, we were able to bond with some of the Candy cuties and we got a free access at the backstage. What a hella tiring yet a fun day!

The event came up with a beach theme which I thought at first was wearing two piece or swim wear. (I hope I wasn't just the only one who thought about that because, ugh) Then luckily, I've read the Candy magazine and I recognized that whatever it is that's running through my head, was absolutely wrong. Because the so-called "beach theme" had a twist, and it's all about -just- wearing summer inspired clothes, and that's it. So here's what I wore at the Candy Reader's Choice Awards - a very girly one.

So I guess that's it! We weren't able to capture as many photos as we want to because, obviously, we were busy working. This was such an amazeballs  event for me. I usually just grab a candy magazine out of a bookstore monthly but I didn't see myself working for Candy, ever. What a Candy day!

BOY LONDON

I've taken a lot of interest with these all-black sneaker wedges since I bought them and it makes me feel like a -leading edge- hipster, all the time. It was a good purchase though it was a bit pricey, and I didn't regret buying them, only because they're too hot for a cool kicks. Haha. I actually planned to buy a pair of an all-black vans, but then I thought it was too mainstream, and honestly, sneaker wedges are a bit fresh and stylish. Plus, I could instantly snap a hipster look on any outfit I itch for. Easy breezy! Also, I can see how my style changed a bit. From being all too girly, I slowly diverse to hipster outfits. Which I think is a good thing, right?

So, this was the outfit I came up with when we went to Frolic last Friday to celebrate my friend's birthday. Hope you like it!

SUMMER HIPSTER

Summer might've just ended for some, but in my case, I still have one more month ahead of me before I finally begin my second year in college - probably dealing with random people and commuting, again. Plus, if the rain won't appear just as much as often, then I would probably be dealing with the - unbearable- heat. Oh god! Can someone get rid of the sun, please? Haha.

As for my outfit, I came up with a hipster look that's kinda relevant for summer. So far, this one's one of my favorite outfit and I shan't say anything anymore because the outfit speaks for itself already. (Lol, lazy ass) And by the way, don't forget to join my blog giveaway here.

FIRST BLOGVERSARY

As obvious as it is, March and April wasn't a favorable month not only for my self -as a blogger- but for my readers, too. (What a perfect way to start a blog post after a two month inactivity. Lol!). I wasn't able to post anything blog worthy within the past two months and I really can't tolerate the fact out of it - bla-bla-bla-bla just asdfghjkl I missed blogging, big time! But yeahh you know what it is! I'm back and my heart's literally pumping twice its normal beat out of all my cravings for a new outfit post. And as happy as it may sound, honestly speaking, it's not. I'm becoming an irresponsible blogger because of my inactivity for the past two months and I'd really like to apologize for it. But still, I'll try my best to make up for what I've missed.

Anyway, for good news' sake, I'll be having my first blog giveaway which I spoiled for a long time - watch out for my "Big Birthday x Blogversary Giveaway". Excited yet? Man! HAPPY PLAIDS

Man I definitely love plaids. Or maybe just this plaid polo I bought recently in Attic Bazaar - but still, they're way too cute and perhaps, which is in my case, they're also way too pink and girly.

So yesterday was a holiday which gave me a chance to seize a photo shoot - luckily, I had an early dismissal today so I was, ofcourse, able to edit this outfit post as soon as I got home. And as I am typing the next words that I am typing just right now, I am so hungryyyy for Shawarmas and burgers with tons of freakin' vegetables which doesn't make much of a difference even if there's none. And before I get all too far and talk about stuffs that doesn't have anything to do with my outfit (hahaha), here's my ootd yesterday. Hope you'll like it!

MISS CAPTAIN AMERICA

I -kinda- looked like a superhero with the outfit's similar to Captain America's costume during the Valentine's. Most people opt to wear red outfits on Valentine's; and seriously, who wouldn't just follow the norm? because I know I wouldn't. Well, at first, I did think of just wearing red and all, but then one day, I walked pass by a boutique and wasn't really looking for a Captain America inspired outfit. All I was looking for was a red midrib or just anything red really. And viola! I found the perfect outfit for my Valentine's date and perhaps, if it weren't for Captain America; maybe I wouldn't have been able to fulfill my intent of having the perfect outfit for myself and for Valentine's. 

So, this was the outfit I came up with for Valentines' and the outfit I'm really happy with. It really does sum up my own style because I am (and forever will be) in love (maybe a'lil bit obsessed though) with midribs that happen to fit my build perfectly. And so much for that. (lol) Here's what I wore:

ORANGE DIVA

And I shall lead my count down for February 14 right now! Since the day we've buttoned up our plans to finally have the best romantic valentine's date ever (lol), I fairly couldn't get into my bed without over thinking how excited I already am and just imagining how I'll be. This year's date wouldn't be just as perfect as last year, but it would also be the most romantic date everyone will itch for. Hihi too much for valentine's thought already.

As for my outfit, I honestly didn't have any idea that wearing more than one orange stuff would possibly conquer the whole impression of my outfit. I mean, look, obviously my orange top and flats are the the one's that are totally standing out than the other colors of what I am wearing. Aren't they?

INDIE ROCK

The hardest thing I think bloggers are always having a hard time with, is probably entitling an outfit post and just simply reckoning the perfect words to put up together in the title box. Lol yes, I always find it so hard that sometimes I almost end up thinking if I should just put the title "PUT TITLE HERE". But luckily I haven't done it yet because I know how to fence my laziness. *confetti*

So last Friday was definitely a bloated day for me. I was with Rishee then, we had milk shakes, kind-of-a-huge cookie, and a red velvet cheese cake. We couldn't find the words to best spell out how that cake made us want to order more. It's totally the best combo flavor for cakes. Hihi! After pleasuring ourselves with all those desserts, we headed to our friend's house. 3 box of pizzas, a tower of chaser and a drink which made us stayed awake. Heaven Friday night, that's what I had.

As for my outfit, I opted of having a punk rock style yet still girly. So I just promptly pulled my denim vest together with my pink skater skirt out of my closet and viola, I got this outfit thing going on my mind possible. All thanks to my pink skater skirt that I had unleash my inner girly style with all this indie rock theme. Hope you liked it!

And I finally have my first outfit post for 2014! Whoop whoop! My midterm exams slash hell week for second semester will start tomorrow and will end on Thursday, which probably gave me a reason to stress my self out for three days and to finally start pressuring myself. Three damn days? Still a big deal for me, though.

So before I drain out all of my complains that are totally avoidable (which is why I'm avoiding it now), here's my outfit post. Hope you'll like it!

COMIC BUFF

Today's the day that I wouldn't have to be so anxious about school related thing and to start lingering for Christmas vibes. I actually have bulk wishes listed on my wish list but I doubt even just one of them would come to life. Santa didn't turn up with me ever since I started believing in him. *cries in the corner* 

My Christmas wishlist consists of (just some of them, though): Jumper skater skirt, leather or velvet skirt, stilettos or heels, doll shoes with strap or T-strap doll shoes, ombre or studded shorts, printed skirts, lace dress, oxford, literally tons of chocolates and candies, and a polaroid. So hi Santa! Now that I've posted what I want for Christmas, you may secretly store them on my hanging red socks. 

Skater skirts these days are quite one of the most latest trends yet at the same time it seems too mainstream. Girls just like me who are too much attached with skater skirts may go a different way and may not be common at all. And by this I mean, printed skirts! Skater skirts with different kinds of prints doesn't seem to be so mainstream anyway. It's obviously because of the prints that will make it extraordinary from other skater skirts. 

This stripes skater skirt totally hooked my eye while I was browsing an online shop on instagram. I couldn't resist but to scroll up and down on where the photo's posted and even though I log my account out I still go back and stare at the picture so I bought it anyway.

TEENAGE DREAM

"Let's go all the way tonight. No regrets, just love. We can dance, until we die. You and I, will be young forever."

Last Friday was pretty much a threat on my feet. It was totally one of the most exhausted day I ever had and I drained out all I have in me as soon as I got to bed. To start off my "ever exhausting day" I basically attented my Friday class which is from 9am up to 12pm. Then I bunched up with Rishee infront of my school and we totally pigged out for lunch at SM Manila. Then we set offed at Intramuros Walls and had my outfit shot seized and quite stayed there to secure some fresh air while we were waiting for Rishee's team mate. Afterwards, we headed to Doroteo Jose for his basketball league, and guess what? They won over 51 points. As soon as the game was done, we went all our way from Manila to Makati to meet our high school friends (we utterly ruined Makati's silence and the shuttle we rode on). And lastly, we decided to have our dinner in Better Living. And viola, I got home past midnight!

I literally had second thoughts on what to entitle for this post. I basically thought of entitling this as "NO REGRETS, JUST LOVE" but then I suddenly came up with "TEENAGE DREAM" because I literally sang the song in my head. Whenever I hear that mainstream qoute, Katy Perry's teenage dream abruptly skips out on my head and the lyrics just pops out of my tounge.

Aren't midribs one of the most genius clothes that had ever been created? Showing some skin isn't a big deal at all, it depends on how you carry it and how you let other people show them. But trust me when I say this, when I'm with Rishee, showing skin is a very, very huge inhibit for him. Why does he have to be so over protective and conservative? Okay. Bye. @#$%^&*()_+. ASDFGHJKL. I'm gonna faint.

AZTEC FEELS

Happy 1st of December guys!

Guess who stayed up late last night just to edit this post and guess who haven’t watched Catching Fire yet! Lol me! And yes, I unfortunately haven’t seen Catching Fire on big screen earlier and I’ve been dying to watch it soon but I have to repeat watching The Hunger Games all over again with Rishee because he haven’t watched it yet. It’s just not his thing, basketball is what it is. I’m so excited to watch Catching Fire in due time and it will probably be a mini date with Rishee again. Yay!

Since Harry Potter had already terminated, I’m now looking forward on The Hunger Game’s series as much as I did when Harry Potter’s still airing last 2011. They’re just something I should or people should die watching on big screen. So Catching Fire, I’ll be coming for you real soon!

Guys I think I’m falling really hard with aztec prints though I’ve been a late bloomer obsessing with it. And while I was obsessing with aztec prints, I tried to create a party outfit out of an aztec skirt and it popped out just the way I’ve been seeing it in my head.

AZTEC

Some bloggers paired their bustier dress with a denim vest and sneakers. So I tried to mix my own and I preferred wearing wedges instead, and though I bailed what other bloggers did, it surprisingly went chic and modern and I pretty much succeeded with what I've been forging around my head to complete this outfit. 

On the other note, tomorrow up until sunday I guess, my school will be celebrating its Colegio week. I just really am hoping that there would be days which I wouldn't have my class so I could post more stuffs on my blog because I kept some saved posts on my drafts which I haven't edited yet. *crossed fingers* So here's how I paired my pieces, hope you guys like it.

I super duper love the way how my outfit goes flamboyant because of the denim vest and the bustier dress. Like what I've said in my previous post, wearing bustier dress is one of my quick fix whenever I get lazy. I am indeed very happy to have an aztec bustier dress sponsored by Artehan Fashion because I could just wear them on any occasions and I know aztec prints will never ever grow ancient, ever!
