I wanted to post this before episode seven came out, but I have horrible time management skills lmao. I watched episode six and all I could think was, "it's never been about her." I think Vampire Empire by Big Thief, some of its lyrics, really do fit Claudia and the chaos she was put through. And even in her afterlife, where she already has nothing left, she doesn't even have Madeleine. She has nobody. She lived most of her life as a quick fix for guilt, and when she met the one person who didn't use her, she never got to stay with her. It makes me so violent lmao

its a minimal change, but I noticed you guys seemed to have liked the WIP post more so I thought I'd pass around an alternative! I myself like either version, but I do believe some of the details are a bit more clear without so much of the dark shading and over layers! I think the WIP photo also looked a bit brighter due to the fact I was using my phone to shoot my laptop screen, instead of posting a screen shot ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ it's okay thoooo

Anywho, this is a WIP! I can't decide whether I'd like to keep it digital, or if I want to break out some of my paints or pencils. I definitely knew I at least wanted a digital sketch, which is what you're seeing!
Very happy with the severed swan wings behind him, and the dying mockingbird in his hand. Lots of small details I enjoyed. yay 🌟symbolism🌟 I may put a poll on where I take this next, but for now I hope you enjoy🧡🧡🧡✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
