“I see the sun, and if I don’t see the sun, I know it’s there. And there’s a whole life in that, in knowing that the sun is there.”
— Fyodor Dostoyevsky (via kvtes)
Always Remember:
kissing can and will, get boring.
its ok to go to sleep on opposite sides.
forgetting favorites, dates and replies is only human.
you dont have to like, or be friends with all of their friends and vice-versa.
they have a right to spend weekends dedicating to their friends and family. you have the same right.
privacy is still in play.
trying simple things that they like, no matter how much you are sure you will dislike it, is a very small step you can take to show your love to them.
you dont gotta have the same taste in music, food, books etc.
saying i love you, thank you, take care, please and i missed you really helps.
you cant agree with all their life decisions and they cant with yours. keeping an open mind and having an honest and deep discussion about it helps.
they dont need your permission to do things and neither you need theirs.
the intention and care behind the gift matters. not its price tag.
dont try and change them. help them become better versions of themselves and get the same help and support and care from them.
know what matters most and focus on that.
sometimes it’s just u and ur oversized jacket against the world
“All the bright precious things fade so fast… and they don’t come back.”
The Great Gatsby (2013) dir. Baz Luhrmann
Why do I keep letting people I love so deeply break my heart?
Why am I romanticising the past like it didn’t fracture me into so many pieces?
Why is the rum always gone?
I’m starting trauma therapy tomorrow.
Maybe it’s finally, finally time to put everything behind me and let myself heal and recover and remember that I can be loved.
Please don’t make the same mistake twice. That would be something to be ashamed of.
Money Cats masterpost, to have your LIFE!! filled with money.
FUCK MAN
NOT RISKING THIS ONE
So much cats.
Money plus cats, what’s not to love?
“There is an aching void in my heart which I am convinced the world can never fill.”
— Emily Dickinson, from a letter to Abiah Root written c. January 1846
On November 5, 1917, 100 years ago today, Wilfred Owen wrote a gorgeous love letter to fellow gay World War I poet Siegfried Sassoon. It continues to be one of my favorite love letters of all time.
“Please, in all this muddle of life, continue to be a bright and constant star. Just a few things remain as beacons: poetry, and you, and solitude.”
— Vita Sackville-West in a letter to Virginia Woolf, January 8, 1926
