Welcome to Winterland plague, an askblog with ARG elements. Here you will find the following:

Creative characters

Horror/weirdcore themes

A town in a snowy Winterland that has been struck by a mysterious plague

A confusing story that might lead to happy end, or a gruesome death of your favourite characters.

Here are some rules:

No sexual replies

No spam

No spoilers, if you find out a secret, either keep it to yourself or if you want to make the said secret that you found public, tag it correctly with tags like "wlp spoilers" or "winterland plague spoilers"!

And of course, do not try to act like you cannot die. Your life is on the line, do not throw away your shot at survival.

Now, with that out of the way, remember to plan your moves and simply not die! I have my eyes on you.

Slowly and quietly look through the left door.

You approached the left door, turned the knob, and opened it. You peeked inside, holding your breath.

You were hit in the face with the same rotting stench that was only mild before, but you kept your composure. Before you, you see a small room, possibly the living room of this house. A quiet buzz and the sound of bells seemed to be coming from the medium-sized cage in the corner beneath the only window in the room.

What will you do next?

I try to hide in the closest possible spot and not make a sound.

You turn around, looking for any hiding spots. Maybe a closet, a cellar, anything where you wouldn't need to listen to this creature beckoning you to leave the house.

You find two doors. One to your left, and one to your right. In the back of the hall you notice stairs that lead to the second floor. The air feels thicker and warmer than before, and you can smell the faint scent of rotting flesh. "I will find you. I know you can hear me. You won't be hiding for much longer."

You have three options. Door left, door right, or the stairs. Make your choice, what will you do?

Back away further into the house, but keep listening, just in case.

You back in further into the house. "...Come on, don't be shy! I know you're in there, I won't hurt you." the creature waits a bit, before continuing. "Are you afraid? Trust me, there really isn't anything to be scared of, I just want to say hello! You wouldn't just keep your friendly neighbour waiting, would you?"

The person is not leaving anytime soon, it knows you are in there. What will you do next?

Find shelter in one of the buildings with eyes on the doors.

You decided to find shelter. You picked the house with the plastic eyes glued onto the door, and rushed inside. You slam the door shut immediately, and the door locks. Inside the house its very cold, and there are scratches and large fairy lights all around. There's a broken picture frame to your right, and a kids drawing of a person with candy for a head to your left. As you go further in the hall, you hear a growl and something scraping against the door from the outside. Now the scraping has turned into light knocking, something is out there. You turn to the door.

"Aw, you won't stay out here? I promise its wonderful out."

Somebody is outside, but you can't go out now, the door is locked. What will you do?

I would like to examine the graffiti

You decide to examine the graffiti.

As you go to examine the graffiti, the first thing that catches your eye is that it was made to look directly at anybody entering. You notice that there is some splattered blood on the left side on the graffiti, and that's about it. There is nothing else here, only the odd feeling of being watched.

Seeing that there is nothing else, you decide to go back.

You find yourself at the start of a snowy town, with oddly shaped snow falling down. Around you, the entire landscape is covered in soft white snow, and with some tints of blood too. In front of you on your right, is a large wooden sign with the words "Welcome to: LANTERNSDORF" engraved upon it. On the building to your left, is some graffiti of two eyes and the words "TOWN OF HELPLESS" sprayed upon the concrete. The doors of buildings are decorated, sometimes with multiple plastic eyes, or wreaths with a picture of a book with some wings around it. You can't see the end of the town, its too foggy for that.

You're very lucky that you brought a warm coat and a backpack full of supplies, or else your stay here might not be the most comfortable.
