Let’s make the most out of this love song.

What a strange feeling to sit beside someone you used to like, but had little interaction with, after a long time. Similar to the feeling of returning home, but only to realize that it was just the dream house you had always wanted before. It’s the feeling of familiarity without having any substantial memory. The residual warmth of an empty coffee cup that once held something you’re craving for.

Then she acknowledges our acquaintanceship with a brief smile. I wish I could say something more than a quick eyebrow flash but there was nothing. I just can’t find enough intimacy to start a small talk. And so the uncomfortable silence between us went on, as I waited for my brother to pick me up on that waiting shed.

But no matter how uncomfortable this is, our proximity makes it ironically better. Heck, the idea of you still makes me feel warm. I am a believer of a universe continually conspiring both in and against my favor. And the way we’re sitting beside each other for almost half an hour that night, gives me more crazy reason to believe that we do share a common feeling. 

So hey, let's sit for a while longer, even if there's nothing to say.

Here’s the orbital period of our solar system’s 8 major planets (how long it takes each to travel around the sun). Their size is to scale and their speed is accurate relative to Earth’s. The repetition of each GIF is proportional to their orbital period. Mercury takes less than 3 months to zoom around Sol, Neptune takes nearly 165 years.
