Its a cover illustration for my uni’s publication, the title is Oracle. So I did a kind of oracle of delphi situation. I’m a sucker for a good guilt character what can I say. Painted on procreate and I think this marks my favorite way of painting, gonna try more of this vibe going forward.

Both the author and I weren’t able to finish our pieces this year, so I present to you a sneakpeak to a world you may yet to see.

Wire Fathers is a fic set in a cyberpunk future, where Janus was raised by a robotic replica of his corporate CEO father, Daedalus. The Paternatron (AKA: Patton) became more of a dad than Daedalus ever could, and when Daedalus tries to decommission Patton, Janus and his friends must go on a quest to save Janus’s dad.

This storyboard/comic concept is set near the end when (spoiler alert) Patton is saved and broken free of his programming. Janus is terrified that without the code, Patton doesn’t have a reason to care about him.

So this art piece didnt get the love and attention it truly deserved because god the writing was breathtaking. Maybe one day I’ll finish but for now, I present to you a storyboard WIP and character design sketches.

My favorite part of a big bang is always the concepts, so even though I didnt do full justice, I truly enjoyed researching 80s cyberpunk outfits to capture each teen’s vibe, and absolutely adored the emotion i managed to put into the storyboards.

This story is a blast and I’m happy I got to delve into the world this summer

The character design is a combo of heroforge builds by the author, research into cyberpunk outfits, and my own artistic interpretation :3

Introducing Kelly!

Now Kells here started out as a druid, played in a discord server. She picked up a book and was thrust into a quest against a young dragon at a way lower level than the others. All her companions were complaining that the fight was too easy, meanwhile Kells (and me) was fighting for her life.

That fight had me drop out of the server, I realized dnd wasn’t for me. And I worked it into Kelly’s backstory, she split from her party after that instance and remade herself, a little more jaded and a little more reluctant to trust other’s judgement.

She’s still a reckless, poisonous plant obsessed druid as I originally designed, but that taste with death hardened her.

(One day I’ll make her a proper updated ref sheet)

Introducing Milo Vlagbrun!!!

Milo was my first dnd oc, and started as a randomly generated dndbeyond character that was a halfling barbarian with absolutely shit stats in strength. And i found that hilarious.

So Milo here, is a wizard who really truly believes he can be a great barbarian warrior. He studied all the bards tales, read all the tomes, so determined that he miiiight of accidentally learned a few spells.

He’s kind, excitable, determined, and was never really told what he could or couldn’t do.

(And his selfie buddy is one of the many friends he’s made with his sweet personality.)

The first ever exercise for my first ever illustration class, and I went a little overboard.

We were asked to draw “Taste Sheets” where we drew ourselves in 3 points in time, with 4 categories of media that inspired us. I went absolutely Ham, designed icons for each category, picked my favorite stuff and then PROCEEDED TO PAINT EACH COVER. He wouldve been fine with doodles! But noooooo i decided to make it “pretty” and “uniform”

Anyway, i could rant forever about the choices and easter eggs about myself i buried in here. But I think my favorite is my signature on each character. Its the three stages I signed my online name, and shows that progression from WisdomMage to my weird little WisM signature I do today.

Official references for 3 of my ocs that I drew up for artfight last year

Just so they’re all in one place, when i post individual artwork of each I can do an official introduction. But these guys all started as dnd characters that I then retired and used as ocs once I realized huh. I actually don’t like playing dnd lmao.

Technically Hetir is the only one yall have ever officially seen, because the old stuff is on instagram. Don’t worry, we’ll fix that.

Have a Tourney! They get a bit of explanation: I had a “whimsicalTM” assignment for an art class my freshman year, and had to create my imaginary friend.

And its name is Tourney! The name is bc I picked that for my laptop on a whim once, like Tournament idk. Tourney’s design is a combo of all the cool things of my childhood, Wolves Horses and Dragons. I drew em like I did wolves as a kid, with the tail hiding the legs, the hair floof and the Absolutely Required dragon wings.

Tourney is a sweetheart, and I imagine them speaking like the griffin in Quest for Camelot: “Precisely”

Smth I drew back in May. I wanted to experiment with warped n creepy-ish, inspired by my illustration professor’s style. Using that “no sketch, we ball” attitude I’m growing so fond of.

Did a marker warmup on a whim today, i havent drawn much this summer. Been really getting into the style of limited palette freehand stuff.

Might upload some old art, might start sharing when i make new stuff, we’ll see where we land.
