Play that song again. Read that book another time. Re-cook that meal you love. Youāre allowed to indulge in those little things that make you happy.
A new day, A new beginning. Start everyday off with a smile. At least itās a good start. Today will be the best monday of the week. Ā wishing you a wonderful week.
adults still love stickers!
ā I Will ConceiveĀ ā
"Try to avoid stress" has to be the most bullshit piece of medical advice ever
Y'all, I can't wait to have a baby
The snuggles at 1 PM or 1 AM
Breastfeeding and cloth diapers
The dirty bottles and burp cloths
Milk stains and poop stains
Swaddles and pacifiers
Loud cries and soft hiccups
Tiny feet wearing fuzzy socks
Doctors appointments followed by ice cream dates to make all the vaccine-soreness forgettable
Daddy baby-wearing in Target while we shop
Bubble baths and bath bombs and laughter
Reading chapter books together at bed time
Easing bad dreams and night terrors
Teaching ABC's and 123's
Encouraging creativity and imagination
Watering a little soul to grow into a beautiful human š±š·
āIāve wanted to be a mother since I was eight years old. Ā I always dreamed of starting a family. Ā But weāve been trying for three years now, and we canāt get pregnant. Ā We keep going to check-ups, and the tests are fine, and everyone says that thereās nothing wrong, but still nothing happens. Ā Itād be easier if we had a reason. Ā Right now I feel powerless. Ā Iām already thirty-five. Ā I can feel the clock ticking. Ā And it gets harder and harder as time goes by. Ā Itās especially difficult during that time of the month. Ā I usually isolate myself on that day. Ā I donāt want to talk to anyone. Ā I donāt want to do anything. Ā He usually orders us a pizza. Ā We watch movies and cuddle. Ā And he reminds me that the most lucky thing has already happened. Ā We were born in the same city, and we went to the same school, and we were able to find each other. Ā What are the odds of that? Ā We are already so lucky. Ā And no matter what happens, weāll always be here.ā (Rome, Italy)
When you have infertility you pray for the day you see two pink lines.
You pray for the day you have morning sickness, and gain weight.
You pray to feel the little feet kicking you.
You pray for a healthy little baby.
Youāll take hours of labor and feel blessed each hour.
You pray to hold this gift in your arms.
You pray to be a mother.
Youād give anything in this world just know you have a little life inside you.
You pray and pray for a miracle to happen .

Me: I donāt know if I ever want to be pregnant, Iād rather adopt a kid or two that are a bit older
Someone: Are you SURE? Older adoptees present UNIQUE CHALLENGES
Me: We are discussing human beings not digital pets
Literally every child every born and/or parented presents unique challenges. Itās like people are unique individualsā¦..or somethingā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦.
An amazing and revolutionary concept
When people ask me, āWhy do you want to adopt teenagers?ā I always answer, āBecause you asked like that.ā
Iām real over it. If I become a foster mom to a 17 year old kid and I get the privilege of the option to adopt them? You better believe I am legally making that kid mine.
āTheyāll be a legal adult in no time, why spend the money to adopt? Theyāll be aged out of the system.ā
Thereās no aging out of family, Marvin.
āThey might be rebellious or smoke or do drugs or steal things! What if they wonāt listen to you?ā
Then I guess Iāll have to step up and do some fruxking parenting, Stanley.
āYou want to adopt problem children then?ā
All. Children. Are. Problem. Children. If youāre not prepared to deal with the fact that at some point, any child ever, whether you birthed them yourself or adopted them at any age, could become a problem? Then you are NOT ready to have children, and should really just step off and let the people who actually want to be parents live in peace with their kids.
Hey Iām so glad this post is picking up
This always gets me emotional š ā¤ļø
truest thing Iāve ever read. I tried so hard not to get excited, but I loved our baby.Ā
Dear body,
No.
Sincerely, me.
